I can't find a link to the livestats from the AC website either...I used the link posted on the scoreboard page from this site.  In any case, this should be the address you're looking for on Saturday:

Livestats worked for last week's Allegheny - Denison game.  I accessed it from the d3football.com scoreboard page.

Hey..... it seems it did work for Denison.

I stand corrected.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Wabash needs to score early and keep AC off the board.   If AC is allowed to hang around, they become very dangerous.    Last year we took it to them early and then had to hang on.   I don't believe they have proven the offensive fire power yet this year to mount a large comeback.   Last year got a little scary in the second half with their fine Senior QB.

I think preventing the long pass and Wabash's 3rd down defense could be the key to this game.

There's still some fight in the Scots. Through yesterday the attitudes have remained positive and more aggressiveness in practice has been apparent.

Go Scots!

That's good news for COW-Land. What else can they do except re-focus on the basics?

Hope they can transfer what's happening on the practice field to where it counts on Saturday. I'm going back for homecoming festivities so hope the boys at least bring MAXIMUM EFFORT even if OWU wins. Don't want COW to ever be known as a team that gives up in the 2nd half of games. Unfortunately, they've been doing that this year in spades.

Not to dwell on the debacle at Wit but some feedback from my two brothers who drove down from Columbus. One played at Capital and the other at OSU so they know football and love D3 ball.

What they were most surprised about was COW's lack of athleticisim of this team. Shouldn't be a surprise after losing 25+ seniors last year. Pretty much said there's no real athletes on the defensive side of the ball. Looked like 2nd or 3rd stringers vs. Wit. Poor execution of basics like losing contain, poor pursuit angles to the ball and very poor tackling.

No offense in college football can be effective, no matter what they run, if the QB isn't solid. Doesn't have to great but can't lose control of the game. Both of COW's QBs were observed to have handle the ball poorly and made the wrong decision about 80% of the game. Again, not a surprise playing behind a 4-year starter. But not to have been grooming Shaeffer's replacement either with someone already on the team or a major recruiting effort seems like a major mistake and oversight.

Go COW and let's see if we can't get something rolling tomorrow

"They're unorthodox," Wooster defensive tackle Aaron Patterson said. "Every year they do a bit of everything. They run a lot of shotgun and unusual formations. We've just got to make sure we're in the right places.

"That's what their offense relies on -- getting you out of position."

What do we call the offense? The Wing-option, veer, stack, Gun, multiple...Blah, blah, blah.....Getting you out of position? I can buy into that alittle...I always thought the offense was to attack, take what they give you, sure, but attack...Tora Tora Tora......GO BISHOPS

I thought it was just me that had an issue with the AC website.....

Bad karma on Wabash web site (unless I suffer from operator error ... which is very likely) ... they have removed pictures/video of THE CATCH.

Now why would you ever do that?

I see the dastardly slimy hands of a Danny lurking somewhere.

Thanks for the AC livestats info. For whatever reason, I can't get onto the site, though. Argh!!  >:(

82 degrees and sunny, as it should be tomorrow.
ScotLass, very encouraged by the article, regarding records of teams Wooster has played.  That gives me hope for tomorrow. Offense AND defense will have to play tough. Have a hunch Sheppard will bust loose tomorrow.

BELL info......I might score and see this thing!!!

I don't think the Wabash folks care much about the DPU procedures.  They can't even sit on their own side if they buy tickets from DePauw.

I don't know how they do it at Wabash, but they don't let the people who buy tickets from DPU go over to the other side.

smedindy

Wes is right - Aueagle - buy from Wabash so you can sit on the Wabash side.

Ever since there were ignoramuses causing mega-shenanigans on the field in the mid-90's, there have been no mixing of crowds at the Monon Bell games.

The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that: Greed, for lack of a better word, is good. Etc. etc.

Look, can you guys start doing Star Wars quotes, or maybe even Indiana Jones quotes?  Seriously, I'd love to let the inner geek out, but I'm just not a lawyer/stockbroker movie fan (excepting Trading Places, of course).

So no more Gordon Gekko, no more Bud Fox, no more cockamamie cigar smoke.  No more Swedish meatballs there tootsie.  No more phony Irish whiskey.  And no more goddamn jerky beef.  ;D

How about...
"We're puttin' the band back together."  "Yeah, we're on a Mission for God."

Just a thought for the next home game at Hollett vs Witt.  Only hope the college still has the old sousaphone with the .22 cal holes in the bell.
