What a difference a couple hundred thousand dollars can make.  Gheny's new field looked awesome.  It will only help that program grow and recruit in the future.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

ravens:
The OWU DE's did crash alot on Saturday & more than a couple were out of position...
The QB situation is very suspect....Fisher did not have the game he has had in '07....
A week of disappointment......OWU needs a jumpstart...I just don't know where to begin.....
Does anyboby have a photo of the new AC field/stadium...or know where I can go to see it..(w/o driving to western Pa)..............

Sobecki's strength is being a complete running back...running, blocking and being a threat as a receiver out of the backfield. Hopefully, the Wabash backfield coach understands the whole game. Maybe, maybe not.

WAF78,

Serious question here, what is it that scares you about Witt...I am not saying this isn't going to be a very tough game this Saturday, but I am just not sold on them yet.  Yes, they lost to Capital in week 1.  They beat a Wooster team that has had serious problems (0-4 until this week's win over OWU).  They barely beat Olivet who is 2-3.  They blasted Earlham.  It is difficult to look at the common opponents and draw any conclusions.  Do they have a quality win?  They lost a ton of guys off of last year's team and I am not sold on the quality of this year's squad.  They are very young and C-ville is a tough place to come with a young team.  In fact, its such a tough place to play that their heavily favored ranked team back in 2003 (Harbaugh was a Soph???) - Bash blasted them and won big.

Look forward to another classic matchup this Saturday!

I understand but why the lack of offensive production. Personnel, recruiting or input? Or just the scheme that minimizes the running back?

Anytime you have talents like Sobecki, Porter and Kimp that can step into the lineup, it's not personnel or recruiting.

Wabash is a passing offense, and they have basically a new line that had some injury bugs, etc. So it's just taking time for everyone to get together. I am sure that Saturday's results from both Sobecki and Porter bodes well on the season.

CC also has always rotated backs. He rotates backs, wideouts, tight ends, and on the defense there are always people moving in and out. As we've seen this year, and a few years ago, he's not against rotating QBs. The only position he doesn't seem to rotate is on the OL - barring injury, production, or penalties.

Wabash now #14. St. Olaf passes them, but losing by 1 AT St. John's shows their mettle.

I hope Fincham can get all the youngsters to board the bus. It may resemble the last roundup, trying to corral the quivering neophytes. He should also post authority figures at the bus depot, Cox Municipal Airport, Springfield Airport and disable all other means of departing Springfield to ensure the poor kids don't bolt from town.

Ranked #14. Preseason favorite to win the NCAC. Wabash has a big ol' target on our back. Nobody can take Witt likely this week. I hope we're ready. I hope the students can forget about fall break and stick around to pack the stadium on Saturday.

There are about 19,241 cliches about the Wabash / Witt game that come to mind. But I do think it's "put up or shut up" time.

Yeah.... I think most of the people voting are waiting to see what Wabash does in the Witt game.

After losing Huff, the uncertainty of how good the back-up will be and the yards/points our D has given up this year, I don't know if people really know what to think of this Bash team.

We shall see on Saturday.  We need fans at Hollett this weekend.  When that place is rockin, it really helps.
