Though you cozy up to the right people at the St. John's tailgate - you can get in free!

I must admit, the pictures and talking to people that have seen a game up there, really makes me want to see that.  Passion for the game; for the team is always great to witness and be a part of.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

I tell you what, the Johnnies and Little Giants are kindred spirits. Even the crusty ol' guys have a lot of spirit and verve and the fans are really into it.

Unlike some other nearby powerhouse where I felt I was at an exhibition of some sort where you give polite applause at the end.

Shh....musn't wake up Aunt Wilma with your cheering, especially since you're behind 21 points.

AUEagle,

Total coincidence but my neighbor played 4 years at St. Johns (graduated mid-90's) - we raz each other quite a bit during the season - especially this year since both of us are undefeated.  Has some pretty cool stories about Coach Gagliardi.  He and his wife are moving to Denver, CO after a short stint here in Indianapolis.  But before he goes, he will attend his first Wabash game this weekend - hope he digs it.
How can he not dig it!
Have him standing by the tunnel when the players are ready to come out.  I'm getting chills just thinking about it.

To bad he couldn't be here for the Bell Game.

Great Journal Review article on Adi.  6 tackles away from Killer.  He will accomplish this in the first quarter.  http://www.journalreview.com/sports/

Wax on ... wax off ... Denison.

Then:  DePauw to Hell We Have the Bell.

Smed...I think we were at the same game at the same home field of the said powerhouse. They just couldn't understand how or why we would continue to cheer our team on even though we were 21 down. I would imagine at said powerhouse's stadium...if they were 21 down...maybe the stands would empty?

Yeah, the MUC faithful are a bit spoiled.

St. Johns & Wabash ought to do a home/away series....that would be great football....all-red....yikes!

WAF78

aueagle...yeah...I think that'd be cool. But what I'd really like to see is a yearly game between Wabash and Hampden Sydney...it would be the true Stag Bowl.

These numbers are awesome by this Sophmore coming into the situation he has....I am happy for him and his individual success....he has surely made the most of his opportunity....

What really is compelling though is that this is the third QB I have watched do this at Wabash......under CC.......and what I am realizing is that this without question has to be the result of great talent drawn to Wabash but yet "Coached Up" to this level by CC......

WAF78 - Nice!!! H-S has the nice new stadium too....North vs South....
Good Luck & No Injuries to everyone on Saturday...

Hope teams in the top 10 lose so Bash can move up a position or two in ranking...
Bishops should have no problem..but the sleeping dog thing has me concerned....

Hey gents:

Good ol' David Collinge, Wooster's wise sage of the basketball boards, had this as his signature:

Let not thy mother lose her prayers, Hamlet:
I pray thee, stay with us; go not to Wittenberg.

Hamlet, Act I, Sc. II

Any liberal arts student worth his salt has to appreciate that!

Been a  busy week!
Met a guy last week who was at Wooster-Wabash game and went to Wabash and married a beautiful woman who went to Depuaw.  Is that allowed?   And she will not wear Wabash gear.
Was in Wooster today and saw a number of players on campus who looked pretty upbeat and ready for tomorrow.
ScotLass, read something in school's paper about staph infection found in Timken Center that an athlete from an unnamed sport picked up.  Students are mad that general student population were not made aware of it. Sounds like it could have been much worse.
Pres. Cornwall goes about 6'6" with a 6'5" son looking for a d3 school to hoop at next year. Guess new president was/is quite a baller.  again, eveyone seems thrilled with his  quiet demeanor and "behind the scenes" way of getting things done.  And he wants the new student center/physical education facillity that will be state of the art with some living quarters in it student orientend.

Kids! Unless the general student population is spending significant time in the locker room, they probably should do some research about staph infections, who's at risk, prevention, etc before getting mad. While locker rooms are suspect and athletes should be following some precautions, the general student population should probably be more concerned about alcohol, drugs, and STD's.  ;)

Looks like a great day for football at Earlham!

GO SCOTS!!!!!!!
