WAF 78 ... surely you mean WHEN Wabash beats DPU

WAF78

Bashbro...
About your earlier question about Huff...you gotta stay with Hudson. Timing wise, in shape wise, Huff isn't going to be ready to play a game.
Also...any extra incentive against DPU is welcome...
DePauw to Hell, we'll keep the Bell

Wabco...excuse my poor use of the English language...yes...WHEN the Cavemen trounce the hanky waving, mousse applying, girly boys from DPU.

After OWU beats Case next weekend  ;), who will be #3 in the North?  Franklin or Wheaton?

I would expect wheaton to fall to 4th at least in the region.

#2 in the region means that Wabash would get two home games in the playoffs.  BUT Wabash has to take care of business next week for that to happen.

It sounds like NCC is about to beat IWU which sets up some potential craziness next week in the CCIW.

Schwam...If IWU beats Wheaton, NCC gets the CCIW bid (but NCC still has to beat Carthage so nothing is certain).

Hard to say where Wheaton will land.  There's a whole mess of one loss teams now in the hunt for that final home spot in the first round.  If it all ended right now (and Wheaton were in) I'd say we're set up for a Franklin/Wheaton first rounder and  your guess is as good as mine as to where that game would be played.  That, I think, would be a heck of a game.

Wheaton just needs to worry about winning next week....(if IWU ends up loosing today...)

Wheaton somewhat took the first three quarters off today.  For a moment, I thought Norris and their defense was actually going to get it to a tie.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Yes, that would be a great 4/5 matchup.

Capital has a tough game left against Baldwin-Wallace.  If Cap loses, Witt could find itself very much on the Pool C bubble despite 2 losses.

Alright...some Wabash/Denison thoughts.

- Given last weekend's events on campus, I wasn't really sure how the team's focus would be affected and with the Bell game on the horizon how much focus would be on this game where, frankly, Wabash could have played poorly and still won.  That concern was wiped away almost immediately as Wabash couldn't have had a better start today.  And as I mentioned earlier this week, if Wabash could get an early lead and take Denison out of the game that they played against Kenyon last week, it was going to get out of hand and it did.

- It was great to see Adi get the career tackle record.  I don't think I've ever seen him as uncomfortable on the football field as he was when they stopped the game to let the team congratulate him...he probably would have been happier if it didn't even get a mention over the PA.  That's just the kind of player and person he is and it's been a blast to watch him over the last four years.

- Hudson was surgical today.  21-25, 1 INT (tipped ball), 303 yards, 4 TDs.  Without getting too much into OPOY here, if helping your team actually win games means anything to the voters of this award, I don't see any other choice.  The kid has been a rock from Delaware on.

- That Wabash D was awesome today.  I think the Hard Hats had something to prove after last week.  Last week's PotW coming off of a 190-yard rushing game gets -35 yards today.  The Big Red were held to 2.0 yards per play.  That's stifling.

- Big congratulations to the seniors who on their last regular season home game clinched their third conference championship and end their NCAC careers with a record of 24-4.  Well done, gentlemen.

- Kennon is manimal.  Barnes will be seeing DK in his nightmares this week.  What a game from Darryl today.

Alright, now on to the Monon Bell.  DePauw to Hell!

Bishops walk the dog.....offense has 500 total yards....score twice in 1st QT...
Pups score with 10 seconds left in game....Bishops pass 2006 record of 3 wins as #4 is in the books - 37-7.
MajorSpartan...I can't bet you any money on the game, but, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness.......

I wasn't going to bring it up because I thought it was a near impossibility, but with all of these teams losing around the region, what type of shot does Witt really have?  5%?  10?  None at all?

You guys seem more well-versed of playoff scenarios/seedings/regional breakdowns than I, so I'll leave it to you instead of throwing out mere wishful statements.

Mr. Ypsi

Don't forget that for pool C you are competing nationally, not just against North region teams.  So far my hunch is that there are too many 1-loss pool C candidates for any 2-loss team to have much of a chance, but the carnage ain't necessarily over yet!

And a great day it was for the Scots.. ;D The positive momentum continues. Nice to see so many players able to get in and participate in the efforts today. Looking forward to seeing the Lords at Papp for the senior's final game... ;)

GO SCOTS!!!
