Great Job Little Giants!!!!!!!!!!

Hard Hats came out to play.  Critical swing was INT and the field goal right before the half and then taking the second half kickoff and driving it down for a touchdown.

Great Job, Little Giants.  Keep it rolling next week.

Major props to the Bash O-line today and Sobecki running very hard.

This was not nearly Hudson's best outing (Tough MSJ D + Hudson a little off all day)

Congrats to the Lil Giants!  Keep it rolling next week!!

As far as the upsets and all the close games, this should be just more evidence to eliminate the BcS!

Just got back from the Wabash game...some thoughts:
Hudson did pretty well...but not as sharp as he has been at other times. He seemed to throw high and float a lot of balls...especially in the first half...which leads me to the next comment.
Wabash spots MSJ seven points when on the first Wabash possession, MSJ defensive end tips, catches and runs back the interception for a TD. But, no panic...and the Wabash Cavemen lead 17-14 at half
Wabash O was great....though...after getting up 31-14...there seemed to be a major let down in the whole Wabash team. The D got soft and the O just seemed like they weren't as sharp. But, the O came through when they needed to.
Sobecki NEVER goes down on the first hit. He's a lot slower than CP...but the guy never goes down with just one guy hitting him. He's tough
Wabash D was maddening again. They did much better against the run this week than last...but...that's not saying a whole lot and MSJ was not near as good as DePauw was.
Adi is just a great football player.
Last week, there were several Wabash D players that simply did not show up. It looked like only 1 or 2 didn't show up today. Sadly, it was a couple of guys who didn't show up last week either.
There were some great hits on D today. MSJ had this safety, #4...the guy just hit everyone. He laid a couple of LG's out. Wabash D has some hits too...Adi again...great hits with an interception.
Wish they had utilized Russell a bit more. That guy is a great receiver.
The Wabash D backfield did pretty well sometimes and wasn't good on others. They had some good coverage and gave time for the D line to get some sacks. Again. not much of a pass rush this week...there were a couple of pressures, though the stats may say differently...but the coverage gave the D line time to make a few important sacks.
Overall...a great win for Wabash....CWRU here come the men of Wabash

"We came to win and played at a high level," MSJ Coach Rob Huber said of his team's fourth straight playoff appearance. "We were under estimated. We are as good as Wabash, they just played better. Is Wabash's program better than ours? No. They just played better."

I dont' think anyone underestimated his team. They were HCAC champs for what...three years in a row...and lost to a very good Franklin team. Ummm...no...your team is not as good as Wabash's team otherwise you tie or win. Wabash played better this week...but not as good as they have in the past. The coaches comments sound like sour grapes.

I think if MSJ's coach watches that film, he will privately admit that his team is not as good as Wabash right now and that the score could've been a whole lot worse then it was.

Not sure what to make of Huber's comments. Maybe that's what he's supposed to say...I don't know.  The better team won today plain and simple.  29 first downs to 12 tells you about all you need to know.  Some quick thoughts from today's game...

- Easily Hudson's least sharp performance of the year.  I think maybe some of it was playoff nerves, but I'd hate to pull a Huber here not give some credit where credit is due.  MSJ did a good job of getting pressure on #14 today which forced a lot of rushed decisions.  #99 for MSJ was a beast...he looks like a D-I transfer (perhaps because he is).

- Game ball to Sobecki today.  Evan ran strong and ran really well today.  His best run of the day got called back on a hold.  Great day for Sobecki who did exactly what the rush game had to do.

- Excellent job by the Hard Hats...only gave up 14 points today, 7 of which came on a drive with Adi at the trainer's table getting a finger or some such thing taped up.  Turnovers, big 4th down stops, big 3rd down stops...the D came strong today.

- Adi's pick toward the end of the first half was amazing.  Maybe not quite as amazing as his goal line stuff last week, but amazing nonetheless.  All-American quality.

Bring on CWRU.  I'm none too thrilled about having to go to Cleveland next weekend (don't worry, I'll be there and my nappy playoff beard is coming with me), but so be it.  The CWRU guys have put a little burr under my saddle and I'm looking forward to this game.  I've got some thoughts on next week, but I'll save those for discussion later in the week.  Tonight I'm content to enjoy Wabash's spot in the Salacious 16.  Keep it rolling Bash....

I think that's just coach-speak.

Normally, I'd rather have a root canal than take a trip to Cleveland. (I hate I-71 between Columbus and Cleveland. Well, I hate interstates, period, but still...)

However, if I was in Indiana, that'd be one trip I'd make. Alas, I'll be here unpacking, still. Anyone wanna come over and help??

Wally,

Nice meeting you today.

I liked the pressure our d-line put on Palmer - we didn't always catch him for a sack (although we did a few times), but he took a lot of hits today.

Speaking of hits, how about Kraft's monster blow?  I was on the top row, and I felt it, and it hurt!
