cpa...nice meeting you today as well.  Always nice to put faces to Post Patterns handles.    :)

I missed the Kraft hit.  I was busy sending a text update to those who couldn't make it (cough, LG, cough).  I heard it was awesome though.   ;)

I agree about our D-line.  It was nice to see that group bounce back after last week.   Palmer was slippery, but Wabash got enough pressure on him to keep things uncomfortable and aside from 12 sacks in a game, that's what you want.  Next week will be interesting against the reportedly mobile Whalen.

Nice. It's not like I live in Brownsburg or something. Are you sure you weren't reading a text of a score update I sent you?  :D

This may be a good point.   :)

DadofBashWarrior..

Was a great day for the Little Giants.....and such a great day to be outside in the fresh fall air watching football ...with my son playing in the Playoffs

Let's see...Cleveland

1. Walleye Fishing
2. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
3. Case Western Reserve....That's the team that wipes it's feet on the NCAC right?

That reminds me of our MAN Kennon....what a great smile he has while he's crushing a QB

Those who were at the game -

It seems like the MSJ back, Lovell, had a great start early and then disappeared and other backs were getting the carries.  Did he get hurt?

A couple of MSJ fans had mentioned he was the back to look out for.

Adi is a beast! Two of the best D3 Lbs in the Nation will be on the field next week in Cleveland.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

"We came to win and played at a high level," MSJ Coach Rob Huber said of his team's fourth straight playoff appearance. "We were under estimated. We are as good as Wabash, they just played better. Is Wabash's program better than ours? No. They just played better."

I think this coach has been listening to too much of Woody Austin?! ::)  Why would he say that they were underestimated???  Your team lost to the better team!  Here's a novel idea.  Give credit where credit is due?!  Maybe if MSJ had outplayed Wabash, these comments would make more sense.  But the bottom line is that Wabash was the better team and the #'s don't lie.  As was mentioned, Wabash had 17 more 1st downs than MSJ and the Lil Giants outgained MSJ to the tune of 410-256!

As I said, Huber needs to learn how to tip his cap in defeat!  Instead he comes off sounding like sour grapes.

Great win 'bash, Defense really stepped it up today, adi, wow

I know teams change significantly over the course of the year, and especially step it up during the playoffs, but any one who saw games with both teams played both teams ( Woo, OWU, Oberlin, ect.) care to offer some insight into this game ?

NCAC posters......how the H*&L to you stand those officials on a regular basis!  >:(

The NCAC crew we had in Alliance yesterday was the worst set of officials (lead by the most worthless referee I have seen in a long while) that has graced MUC stadium in years.

I would hate to have those guys calling a game my team was in that was close, and counted for a league/play-off win.

Oh..and good win today.  Now you get to go up and try to beat the REAL NCAC champions!   ::)

Wabash wins by two touchdowns.

It looks like it's going to be a very competitive game in Cleveland next weekend. Listed are the CWRU scores verses NCAC opponents
at Oberlin •  W, 37-15
Denison •  W, 45-6
at Kenyon •  W, 49-26
Wooster •  W, 30-17
Ohio Wesleyan •  W, 20-17

And these are the Wabash scores against the same NCAC opponents.
at Ohio Wesleyan * •  W, 15-0
Oberlin * •  W, 45-14
at Wooster * •  W, 21-10
Denison * •  W, 42-0
We didn't play Kenyon...will they let us play them again? Just wondering.
They beat Wooster worse than we did...albeit early in the season before Wooster sort of got it together. And we beat OWU worse than they did...and they could make the same argument about our playing OWU early in the season. Otherwise, very similar scores. I'm wondering what kind of offense they run...is it a spread O or more conventional?
Anyway, hope to be in Cleveland next weekend. Go Wabash, Beat CWRU

LOL! :D  Is this game for the unofficial NCAC championship? ;)

Any NCAC'ers making the trek to Cleveland to lend their support of the Lil Giants this weekend?

It's an acquired taste, skunks.  After 8 seasons in the NCAC, I've become pretty desensitized to it.

Sobecki NEVER goes down on the first hit. He's a lot slower than CP...but the guy never goes down with just one guy hitting him. He's tough

Never confuse track speed with football speed. The "burst in the box" can be very efficient. ED gets stronger as the carries increase. Good luck in Cleveland.

skunks, the officials for last year's Stagg Bowl (or maybe it was the year before) were announced on the telecast as coming from the NCAC.  Made me wonder how the NCAA chooses the officials for the Stagg Bowl . . . I assume they are evaluated after each round.  In any case, it was quite a surprise to hear that a team from the NCAC was in the Stagg Bowl (hey, we'll take it any way we can get it  :P).  They actually did a decent job in that game, none of their calls were reversed (there were a couple of plays reviewed by instant replay), and they were absolutely not a factor in Mount's victory  :)
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

ADL70

Strickly speaking there are no NCAC football officials.  The officials are from the Intercollegiate Officiating Association.  Both NCAA and NAIA institutions from Ohio, Indiana, and Pennsylvania make use of their officials.
