I'm not really up on our secondary, but Senior MLB Tom Brew was a pre-season d3football.com All-American, and is quite a stopper (6'2", 240 lbs, Body by Fisher).

He's the leader of our defense.

Hopefully, he'll stop the run, and all-conference DE Brian Calderone (a transfer from Division II Mich. Tech where he was a scholarship player) will put enough pressure on the QB to prevent our DBs from having to do too much work.

I just took my first glance at Case's schedule..............oh MY!!!  St. Vincent...Gallaudet...Denison...Kenyon...Oberline...Chicago...  Yuk.  How will they adjust to Wabash's overall team speed & size?  That was a glaring advantage on Saturday vs. MSJ.

Had heard Case's D was small...just looked.  Looks like a 3-man front with one DE at 6'2 225, a Frosh Nose at 6'0 250, and the other DE 6'2 230.  With Tokar (6'6 310) and Morris' (6'6 302) on one side, and Morris (6'3 290) & Hilts (6'7 280)  they are giving up some serious poundage!  With the exception of Brew, their LBs are also undersized.  Right away, I would wonder if Case can stop Sobecki & Co. if Bash comes out and tries to establish the run?

Did MajorSpartan really just say that "I am not sure anyone can stop Whalen?"   ???

Although it is early, weather forecast looks favorable - high of 39 with only a 20% chance of precip.

All reports tell me that Brew is a bad man.  Should be fun watching Brew and Pynenberg on the same field.

Oh my...hopefully the DBs won't have to do too much work?  I can promise you that will not be the case.  Case's DBs are going to have to pack a lunch, especially if that's a weak spot.  CC can elect to run the ball at an All-American or spread out the field and throw it over his head to receivers working against an overmatched secondary...hmmmm.  I wonder which way CC is going to go on this one.

Will there be any problems getting tickets to the Case/Wabash game?  I want to buy tickets at the gate.  Their stadium, according to their media guide, seats only 2400.  It is Thanksgiving break.

BashBacker#16

Great question.  I would thiink you could purchase them from Wabash too.

Is there seating on the visitors side???  Their stadium looks awesome but the 2,400 caught my attention as well.  Any chance for extra seating being brought in?

Just took a "virtual" tour of Case's field...couldn't help but notice the complete lack of visitor's stands.   ::)

$126 million facility and no visitor's stands...go figure.

I haven't seen this Brew kid play but is it fair to compare him to Pynenberg?  Nothing against Brew at all, sounds like a very solid player.  But, numbers aren't even close...

Pynenberg 150 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 3 INTs (these are flat out ridiculous!!!)

Brew 100 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, 0 sacks, 1 INT

Brew was a 3rd team AA last year and a preseason 2nd team AA this year by this website (both are one team behind Adi).  I don't know if he's as good as Adi, but he's clearly pretty good.  Two of the best LBs in the country will be on display in Cleveland on Saturday.

Yeah, I can't believe they don't have visitor's bleachers... Oh wait, I'm from Wittenberg...strike that first comment. ;D

Frankly, most of the teams Case plays couldn't draw pyromaniacs if they were on fire.

If anyone has info on Tickets CWRC vs Wabash please post it.....Am traveling to Cleveland from Chicago for the game and will need to make sure I have tickets

I especially like the presidential suite/skybox at the Case stadium.

I always thought someone might build something similar at LG stadium (a new pressbox would be a welcome addition, too).  I figured if you could erect a skybox outside the physcial boundaries of the stadium and legally serve liquor - it would pay for itself in one bell game.

So are we tailgating or what?

The twins are coming. Half of us ain't never been able to enjoy such a thing.

Well...if CWRU isn't like DePauw...then they'll sell as many tickets as people want to buy. I stood by the field last week at C'ville...and probably will this week in Cleveland. However, should they adopt a DPU philosophy, if anyone has ticket information...please post. Thanks.
With it being Thanksgiving weekend...not many students will be there. It was a great crowd at Wabash this last weekend with the students gone. I'm hoping to see a strong Caveman contingent on Sat.
I'm looking forward to this game...two very good academic schools that seemed to be very equally matched. After seeing Wabash play the five games I've seen them play...I think they have yet to play their best game. This team has a lot of potential...and if they are hitting on all cylinders on both sides of the ball...I think we'll have a Little Giant win.  I'm hoping this Saturday will be the game. If the D plays like they did against Wittenburg and the O plays their usual stellar game WITHOUT turnovers...then I'm very optimistic. If, however, the D that played DPU shows up...well...all bets are off.
Go Wabash, beat Case Western.

So far the only ticket info that I've been able to find is price information ($8) and that tickets will be available at the gate.  I haven't been able to figure out yet what exactly the availability of tickets are...that is to say I don't know if games at CWRU officially sell out and people get turned away or not.  I'm guessing not, but I can't say for sure.
