I am thankful that I missed the Wettack era as a student, and as an employee, and even though I was in C'ville for most of it, I am thankful I wasn't that engaged. Maybe we can build the "Wettack / Miller Memoral Skybox" and have it stand empty except every two years when Bottoms uses it.

I'm starting to get the sense that Wabash may be traveling really well for this game...should be a sweet atmosphere on Saturday.

Did you get the hall pass yet, bashbro?  If so, we'll have to get together for some pregame TWR.  :)

My heart is pulling for CWRU, however I believe Wabash is THE team to beat in the North Region.

I think Bash pulls away late because of their firepower on offense and a few plays they will make on defense in the 2nd half.   Another contributing factor to the game on Saturday will be the Wabash ability of their fans to travel.  This will be a road game for Wabash on paper...

**Bash owns victories over the top 2 teams in the HCAC...which traditionally has been a lower level conference.  I'm hear to tell you the HCAC is on the rise, primarily because of MSJ and FC (both MADE the playoff field of 32 THIS year).  Its my opinoin that these two hard fought victories this season for Wabash shows they have enough "in the tank" to hold off an undefeated CWRU team (that won't have a huge student presence).

I'm getting very close in my negotiations.   A lot of back room dealings going on as we speak.

I need to be there.

Actually saw mention of All-NCAC players from my area in our local paper this morning. Can that be right?  Has the all-conference team been announced yet?  Did not see it on Northcoast website yet.

Thanks Big Bash.

Nike - The All-NCAC team is not posted on the conference website yet, but it should be announced any day.  They could have been leaked.

Ineteresting...are you saying that you like Wabash over Whitewater?  That's a bold statement.

Wow, I don't even think the people that drink the stoutest Wabash Kool-Aid are willing to make that statement!

SMED - I agree.  Focus has to be 100% on CWRU, or they will be worring with UWW or North Central.  The game this Saturday is the only thing that matters.

nike,

watched the video feed of the game on Saturday. The point spread for the Bash/Case game on the pickems is interesting, but I stand by my observations. ;)

what is the spread?

wally_wabash

old wabash, it depends on which board you're looking at.  The OAC board has Wabash laying 17.5 points which seems like a bit much for a road team to be giving in a round of 16 game.  Not surprisingly, the Spartans are getting a lot of takers there.

Over in the USAC pick 'em (run by a Wabash alum), Wabash is laying 9.5 points.  I can't see all of the action there, but the two guys who posted publicly both gave the points and are going with Wabash.

Were I to put a spread on this game, I'd probably have Wabash giving around 10 points give or take a half point.  I'll be interested to see where the USAC pickers end up on this game...given the pick distribution in the OAC and what I think the pick distribution will be in the USAC, I'm guessing that the "right" spread is going to be right around two touchdowns.

I honestly think Wabash has the team to beat WW...if things come together for them in that game.  They have the passing game to give WW some problems, IMO.  Capital made it a game last weekend in Whitewater during the first half even though they were playing with a TERRIBLE 3rd string QB and a converted defensive end, who started the year on defense, playing RB....(no threat of a running game).

I think this could be Bash's year with their combination offense and defensive playmaking.
