Why not just set one? You know you want to.  ;)

This is way off topic, but I just heard via the Bill Simmons podcast that CBS is going to put Gus Johnson back on through the regional finals of the hoops tournament this year.  The Eye got this one right.   :)

You actually listen to that nebbishy homer who doesn't even like "Office Space"?? For sham!

(I read him, but just for the unintentional comedy of his own blatherings and wrong-headed insistence that if he didn't see it - it didn't happen.)

Not usually, but I read that he did an interview with Gus Johnson this week, so I loaded up the podcast.  And I also listened the week he interviewed Erin Andrews (yeah, I'm that guy).

Wow, not one but two Wabash features highlight the d3football.com home page - one about Adi (with pic) and one about Matt Hudson.

I for one am not underestimating Case.  They are for real.
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Simmons hasn't done anything to make a living but tend bar and write about sports. Has he ever worked in an office? Most people who've never worked in offices don't like "Office Space".

Simmons is worth reading as long as he's not talking about Boston sports. He can be quite funny. As long as it's not about a Boston team. Well, the one after the NBA Lottery this year was good.

You have to remember that smed is also a Deadspinner, which means that he must despise both Simmons and Gregg Easterbrook in order to keep his rights to comment (not really, but it seems that way).

Actually, I like Easterbrook for the most part. And I do find that Simmons was funny in the past before Boston started winning, but his WNBA comments really get under my skin.

Simmons is such an obvious target though.

Gotta go, Stoner and J-Bug are calling me about a fantasy football trade...

Are you one of the 11 people that actually watch WNBA games?

Kidding aside, I don't see what he wrote in this COLUMN that wasn't true. The WNBA is a charity case.

Back in 2003, when the Spurs were in the NBA Finals, and the Silver Stars were in their first year in SA, there was a Silver Stars player who was taken off the court on a stretcher after a mid air collision attempting a lay up. it got maybe 3 seconds of mention in the sportscast. The rest was devoted to the Spurs practice session before one of the games against New Jersey That's just the way it is. Nobody cares.

Sorry to hijack the football room, but telling the truth about the swirling toilet of money that is the WNBA is hardly a reason to dislike Simmons.

I don't visit the D3football.com homepage as much as I should...I normally just head to my Post Patterns bookmark, so forgive me if this has been covered...

We of Wabash, and I'm sure Adi himself, would appreciate your vote for our brain bruising LB extraordinaire on the fan Gagliardi vote page (www.d3football.com)

That, and I also wanted to post on page 666  >:D

Can't wait for the road trip this weekend...

Go Wabash!

I realize that this is a tough sell on the NCAC board, but I'd recommend that everyone go to the Gagliardi Trophy ballot page, and vote for Tom Brew, All-American LB from Case Western Reserve University.

He's a tremendous asset to our school, both on, AND off the field.

wally_wabash

Not that this is linked anywhere on the site (nice work, NCAC office), but here is your 2007 All-NCAC team.  I haven't looked at all of it yet...thoughts are forthcoming.

Yyyyeah....this probably isn't gonna happen.  Maybe you should try soliciting votes from fans of Mount Union, Whitewater, Hampden-Sydney, Hartwick, Dickinson, Alfred, St. John's, or St. Thomas.  I'm sure you'll have better luck there.

MajorSpartan - no offense to Brew but seriously, do you know ONE THING about Pynenberg?  Why would you even post that on the NCAC site?  I don't get that at all.

I have already posted this list but let's see what doesn't fit here....Tony Sutton, All American...Jake Knott, All American...Tristan Murray, All American....Casey Donaldson, All American..............RV CARROLL.  Think about that list for a minute.  In addition, the most valid point anyone made on this is the question; if Dustin Huff would have put up the same numbers that Matt Hudson put up, would he have been the Offensive Player of the Year???  Hell yes he would have!  The credibility of this award just took a huge hit in my opinion.
