I would throw UMHB in there

Even after a 44-14 pounding by UWW earlier in the year?

I'll put 'em there.  They won't lose by 30 next week.

The numbers from that game were a bit deceiving.  UMHB turned it over three times on their side of the 50 on their first three possessions.  They were buried early.  The Crusaders were inexplicably throwing it early, and it cost 'em.

Hard to come back by throwing the ball when you can't throw the ball.  Particularly against such a great pass defense, as we're seeing this afternoon.

At this point in time, MUC and UWW are on a different level than the rest of Div III.

I agree with this.

Have to forgive my missing that back whipping earlier...in Baghdad and do not get all the scores...just going off what they had done in last few weeks...would agree with you MU and WW are the tops.

4 Interceptions, 145 yds for the Beaver and 21min to 9 min TOP

thats the story from half number 1.

if you can turn recruits away and target 30-40 players that you want a year as a Div. III team you are pretty good.  When non-scholarship schools (MUC, UWW, Dayton, San Diego) start recruiting like Div. I schools you know they've got it rolling.

I'd agree with this assessment - I think the earlier UMHB-UWW game was just 'one of those things' where everything snowballed out of proportion.

I guess next week should help resolve whether it is The Big 2 or The Big 3.

I just know that UWW has forced teams to turn the ball over 4-5 times per game every game since MHB.  They've done it again today.

Hudson passes to CP for 7 yards. Hudson pass to Guerrero for 1 yard. 3rd down. Hudson passes to Banach for a 1st down. Hudson passes to Russell and its incomplete. Hudson hit for loss. 3rd and 11. Pass to Graham is incomplete. 4th and 11. UWW calls timeout for a de facto 2 minute warning. Ugh. Snap over Finley's head for about a 20 yard loss. Sigh.

UWW starts 1st and goal at the 7. Underwood up the middle for 2 yards. 2nd and goal. Now to the 1 yard line. 3rd and goal. Handoff and Pynenberg makes the tackle. The game is over.

Oh well. Good season. Build on it.

It was a hard ugly loss. But this team has a lot to be proud of. These seniors have enjoyed 2 Monon Bell wins, 3 conference titles and 2 playoff runs. And there is a great group of players that will be back next year.

Congrats on a good season Bash.  Get ready for those early morning workouts!!

Good luck UWW!

Schwami

Tough one today.  Usually when Wabash loses they are at least competitive.  Having said that, I'm confident that Wabash left everything on the field today.  I have to believe that this Warhawk team can give Mount Union a real challenge this year.

Thanks LG for the text message updates.
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Congratulations to the Little Giants on a great season. Nothing to be ashamed about. You guys fought through some adversity and won some tough games. Great season.
