Is there any truth to the rumor that Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka is interested in the Wabash Head Coaching job?

I know he's bored with "retirement", and as recently as June 2007 was Sgt. Slaughter's tag team partner in the "Night of Champions" in Houston.   ::)

My sources tell me that "Superfly" is not a candidate.  Captain Lou on the other hand....

Now, would it be this Sgt. Slaughter:

or this one:

Personally, I think it would rock to have a cartoon for a coach.

Was I the only one that saw the uncanny resemblance to Creighton and Wally?

I guess that means CC is also related to Purdue Pete and the Sparty Spartan, too.

I'd hire the Legion of Doom as my coordinators.  They don't have to buy a new wardrobe, either.  They've already got plenty of red in their closet.

How about Wally Wabash and '03 Wabash All American LB - Nate Boulais!!!  That is a dead ringer!

Speaking of CC, anyone else notice the hoops matchup last night:  Drake vs. Creighton?

Rich Kotite?

Aueagle, to answer your question the person am thinking of does have ties to both Woody and Bo land.

And, Joe Wally, the person does have professional coaching aspirations.  But not Kotite.  Would see this person as somebody with a tenure approximately that of Creighton.

Coughlin coached in and believe Belichek is a former player in Division III.

Just an observation....

If Wabash is ready to make the announcement as to the hiring of a new football coach this week, there is a Chapel Talk set for tomorrow at 11:10 am and a joint lunch for the Board of Trustees and the Alumni Board following at Noon.  An announcement at both events would certainly allow the College to inform some of the major constituents in one fell swoop.

Oh, and the title of the talk--"Reinventing Wabash Traditions" by Dr. Rick Warner

All right, so who was assigned to attend the Chapel Talk!?!

BashBacker#16

Wishful thinking but I just don't see this being announced until next week.  I wish we could just "get" the guy we have our sights on and call it a day.  It does sound like we are getting close.

.....I'll stick with my Feb 13 date for the call.....But, this is getting kinda crazy....I am checking D3 & Indy news sites a few time per day and I am not even a LG!!

Is that a coma induced by light beer, or a light coma induced by beer?
