Here is another local article on the search...

The highlights from this article:

- There was a ton of response and interest in this job (118 applicants).  Sorting through them all has probably taken more time than we thought it would and more time than the committee would have anticipated.

- Finalists (I'd guess 2-3 candidates) for the position will be on campus next week for one final round of interviews.

- An offer will likely be extended next week, barring some horrible interviews on campus (which I find to be extremely unlikely...this far into the process, I think the committee has a good handle on what the finalists are about).

Yeah, Wabash guys.  How dare you be excited and brimming with anticipation over the hiring of a new football coach?  Clearly, since it's basketball season, you should be devoting all your time to d3hoops page hits, and not discussing your school's search for a football coach . . .

Hey...I'm all over the hoops.  I can't wait for my trip to C'ville tomorrow to catch the Big Red Experience.    :)

Received an email in the inbox from a trustworthy source early this morning.  Wouldn't mention it if was somebody who I didn't believe.

Says there two candidates, Coe head coach Erik Raeburn and Whitewater OC Jim Zebrowski, who are coming in for interviews at Wabash this week.  These are not necessarily the two finalists for the job.

Not Trying to  brag but both were name I gave a month ago.  Jim Zebrowski was in my 1st top 10, then after Collins left Capital I looked at my list longer and added Erik Raeburn to it.

Wally & BashBro - thoughts?  Before anyone asks why Zebrowski did not get the St. Thomas job, because he withdrew.  Monday & Thursday of this week are huge days.

...getting close.

These are outstanding candidates, IMO.  If these are the two gentlemen left standing after this thorough process, I don't think there is a wrong choice to be made here.  Both of these men have excellent pedigrees and have an excellent record of success in Division III.  I can't wait to hear who the College chooses.

16 -

If these are the two, I like em both.

Coach Raeburn has done a great job at Coe - Tough D and Balanced O.  Quality Bloodlines.

Coach Zebrowski - I got to see his offense kick our tails in December.

Both have played in or coached D3 Champions.
