Good report on COW roundball....3,000 plus at games? That's  more than most NCAC grid games....so that's what winning does!! Spring ball is just around the corner.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't CC and NN start at Wabash playing 4-3 cover 2-ish kind of thing?  Wheaton burned the LGs over and over and over again in the second game in 2001 and that defense was quickly replaced with what we've seen since then (with some natural evolution of course).  I think the pieces are in place to better run that sort of defense now than in 2001 when CC came aboard.  Time will tell....but if ER made it work at Coe I'm confident that he can make it work at Wabash.

Yeah, Wabash played a gambling defense dependent on the secondary to make plays and it didn't work, as we saw against Wheaton. And like the good staff that they were, they adjusted on the fly and made it work!

I was reading back a few pages about that 2002 Wabash defense. Those guys were tough. Someone mentioned Stu's knockout shot at Gheny... But no one mentioned the hits that Boulais used to put on people... I remember vividly the defense coming over to the sideline on a big hit and subsequent fumble by Boulais... and counting the guy out as he was getting the smelling salts.

If that doesn't say enough, my forehead used to bleed at practice from hitting Boulais. Inside running drills were a train wreck every time. I have a bump on my forehead like a Neanderthal from that SOB... just kidding, but you could imagine right!

Good call on Boulais.  He made the play at Witt in OT that forced Witt to kick and miss their field goal.  It was a great play...and without it, who knows what may have happened as Witt had all the momentum going into that overtime.  What a great game that was...one of the two or three best I've seen in 12 seasons of watching Wabash football.

Bashbro

Don't let the buggers grind you.

The drop off from Witt and 'Bash at 7 is OWU with 4.  And then Gheny with 3.  (Kenyon does not count).

I figure that to be the way the conference will play out:

Wabash
Witt
OWU
Gheny
the rest ... unless Woo comes back in.  Then it is Woo and then the rest.  Gheny could always pass OWU ... but only because OWU seems to playt well/play hard/then sleep a little / then play hard again.

Wabash D line along with entire returning O will be just too much.

By my Count Wabash has
4-1st teamers
1-2nd teamer
1- HM

Does Lange have another year? Plus, it looks like Witt has 9 Guys back? 7 are Fr and So's? Are these the correct years for those Players?

Short:

The classes listed for the Witt players are correct. The 2 Jr. players have an additional year of eligibility, making the '09 season an option.

A member of the 2nd Team in 2006, hampered by injury this past fall, also returns.

Receivers are there bashbro...we just haven't seen or heard much of them because they couldn't get on the field in front of the 4 seniors from last season.  Hudson has this spring and preseason camp to get on board with them...which is one more spring and preseason than he had with the receivers he threw to last season.

does your conference have redshirts just like a d1 school would have redshirts?... or are they "medical" redshirts?
