Odd that the home team is wearing all white...but I like the idea.  Usually I'm very much opposed to the color-of-your-choice-outs but in this case if it helps generate some interest in the game and stoke the fire a little bit I'll make an exception.   :)

The Wooster-Denison trophy is in the trophy case here at Wooster...I'll do what I can to get a picture for you all who are interested.

I hope Wooster is bringing the lantern with them as they could very well be leaving it at Denison and going back up the highway in the dark!!

FightinScot

anyone know how to resize pictures? I have a pic of the trophy on my computer but the file size is too large...

FightinScot

here it is...take a good look kansas kid, its staying here.

Amen FightingScot............Wooster actually has a defense this year, Kansas Kid will be suprised.  I think the game results will depend on if Holter decides to show up or not. He was rather sluggish last week. Hopefully he's back on track. GO SCOTS!

Oustanding work, FightinScot!

Now hopefully we can get the Old Red Lantern bouncing back and forth between campuses and relight the fuse on this rivalry.   :)

You guys are amazing.  I will look for that trophy next time I am at the gym.
Each week the season gets better.
If the Scot's defense shows up each week, then it does not matter as much how well the offense plays.  It will give the offense many more opportunities to score. Tough defense is a demoralizing thing.  Hope the offense catches up and plays their best game this week.

Nike,

Who are the key guys on the Woo D this year?  Guys to watch?  Any standouts or a good unit across the board?

BashBro - again, classic...going right after the DU SID.  I am sure you made that guy's day.  Nice.

Kenyon is pretty big up front.  Hope Sobecki can come back this week.  Would give us a nice change up from speedy/quick Kimp and Yoder.

I was thinking it would be like Othello. Or something. Or other.

Denison may have bamboozled Wooster with that single wing, much like the Dolphins ate the Patriots lunch on Sunday (though I don't think it was a true single wing...)

In reply to BB16, Im not Nike but have a decent insight on the team. After 2 games and a few scrimmages, the Woo D look very solid across the board. The D is led by LB Steve Custenborder. This boy is a man-child and plays with great energy and aggression. Like I've posted before, the two defensive coaches added to the team in Chris Craig (Former Wooster Safety/ 3 time All-NCAC) and Willis Barringer (Former Starting safety for the Michigan Wolverines) have added some much needed and positive energy to this squad. And their sack total and turnover numbers will support this. As for the O, if the QB Holter is on, watch out. He can beat you with his arm and his feet. Of course Sheppard is back pounding the ball and Jordan Ferns at WR. Sophmore Mike Redick had a breakout game last week snatching up 8 balls. Mike Franciscangeli is a force to be reckoned with as well. The Scots have also added some raw freshman talent in TE Cameron Daniels who has been out the past two weeks with a knee injury and RB Dajaun Bush a very speedy slashing back who compliments Sheppard and mixes it up a bit. This will be a very exciting year for the Scots and their fans as it seems the rebuilding year is over with. A name that may be heard in the next few weeks is freshman WR Zach Gust a highly touted speedster whom coach Schmitz has quoted "the fastest player I've coached at my time in Wooster". You can search him on scoutingohio.com to see his highlight film. He's been out the past few weeks due to injury. Good luck Scots......Can't wait for Denison!
