This link will help explain things.

;)

Here is an interesting research project:

When is the last time a team in NCAA football played against a competitive rival on the road, turned the ball over 5 times, 100 + yards in penalties, early special teams issues and still won the game?

Not worth looking for the answer, but I bet it has been awhile.

Chimp not monkey.

All the monkeys I found were doing something strange or obscene.....I had to improvise ;D

CYA advice - quote the post you respond to!  Then you don't have the messy explanation about deleted posts! ;)

I should have kept it up after going to the link in the next post.

Wabash was more fortunate than Capital, who had 9 turnovers but was still in the game until late in the 4th quarter against John Carroll.

Which suggests another question: what was the largest negative turnover margin for a team that actually won the game?

Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

I was at the Wabash/Witt game today.  The LGs overcame not only 5 TOs, but also over 100 yards of penalties.  On the road.  Against Witt.

They couldn't win with 45 points, so they won with 13.

That is the mark of a championship caliber team, imo.

Witt is very very tough.  Their RB Trevor is a warrior.  I also liked their 2 QBs, the senior and the soph from Carmel.

This was a tough loss for Witt.  This was my first visit to Witt.  I thought their fans were great and very friendly.  Good brats, too!

Their stadium announcer was great.  He sounded like Patty Duke's dad!!

Last year in the NFL, I know it's not NCAA, but some people still consider it football.

Teams were 54-2 in games in which they had a +3 turnover margin or greater.
