Maybe Franklin will travel to Wabash as a #7 seed?

Maybe.

Then again, maybe Franklin needs to win their league first.    ;)

FC_Alum_84,

I, for one, would love that.  I'd love to see the Bash O face the Franklin D.   ;D

Some random Wabash/Wooster game remarks:

- Shep was a warrior to make it back, was pretty cool he played and made some contributions
- #1 (Woo receiver) should go buy some "sticky" gloves
- Degrand and #48 are very good LB's - fun to watch
- the Woo D front was much softer then Witt's
- Holter is the real deal - he could run every play and get chunks of yards, he did take a beating
- Sobecki, Yoder, and Kimp (Bash RB's) looked really strong - each having their own style.  All fun to watch.
- the Bash O line was impressive
- how fast was Slack on his 78 yard "pick 6" - that was pretty awesome
- Frederick is a "ball hawk" (he led the state his senior year in INT's) getting his 3rd & 4th picks of the season
- Chamblee is fun to watch on KO returns...
- great call on Lemond's rushing TD

Hmmm...some smack three weeks out. Probably all better left for 1 p.m. November 15. One thing is for sure, the LG's seem to have not lost a step in the transition...looking forward to being in C'ville for one of the nation's great college football rivalries...

I was just thinking about this topic a little while ago.  I assume that the Franklin/RHIT winner would be a good pairing.  I also thought that Trine would be a possibility (assuming they get by Adrian in 2 weeks and win the MIAA).  Although, they may just go to North Central.

The new poll is up....Wabash did indeed jump over Muhlenberg and sits at #3.  Cool stuff.

Wheaton got clobbered by the pollsters.

UW-Stevens Point goes from 0 votes after week 7 to 230 votes and #17 in week 8.  This has to be some sort of record jump in the D3football.com poll era.

Nice... Wabash needs to take care of business the next two weeks and win as they should.  Also, we are a little banged up and can hopefully get some players some rest.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

;D    We're Number Three!!!!!! We're Number Three!!!! Sorry I broke my promise not to make any comments about the polls but I couldn't resist. A great statement game against Woo. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Bash doesn't go on cruise control for 2 weeks against the "cream puffs" and forgets to get up for Dick and the Dannies. As CC said in 2005-"They've got it; we want it" By the time of his Chapel talk, the entire student body was eating out of his hand. He was a motivator, all right.

Enjoy it while you can.  If Millsaps beats Trinity this week they should jump over both Wabash and Muhlenberg.

I don't know cwru70....based on the rankings Millsaps is supposed to beat Trinity.  I wouldn't expect much upward movement there unless somebody in front of them loses which doesn't seem likely this weekend.

What's more, the vote differential is too large for that to happen.  At 550 votes, the average ballot position for Wabash is #4.  For Millsaps, at 466 votes, the average ballot position is between #7 and #8.

Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Well, except that Trinity hasn't lost a home game to a D-III school since like 1995.

I'm assuming that's a regular season only stat? Didn't they lose to UMHB a few years ago in the playoffs in SA?

Yes, that should also have been part of the equation, sorry.

OK, when I say "should" I mean in my mind.  That would give Millsaps a bigger win than any of those of Wabash or Muhlenberg.  All Wabash has done is beaten teams that it should, too.  Millsaps would then have beaten two ranked teams (although Mississippi College hasn't proved worthy of its ranking).
