It doesn't make a difference...but what the heck is with the kicking game? It just isn't that hard to kick an extra point. Just a lack of concentration, I guess.

Talk about balance.  Wabash 282 rushing - 282 Passing.

Wabash 60
Oberlin 7

Final.

Wabash could have scored 100 in this one.  Great 2nd half to get 2nd and 3rd teams work.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Ohio Wesleyan - 31

Congrats to Witt and COW on their wins today.
Also...a good win by Washington of St. Louis beating Carnegie Mellon

I'm looking forward to that Witt/Wooster game. Should be an awesome contest. Too bad some other game will have my full attention that day.  ;)

Wow...Elmhurst beats Wheaton.
I guess the Majors were tired of seeing the lateral video...Millsaps trounces Trinity.
Yeah...I agree...the Witt/Woo game will be a great one as well.

Way to go Little Giants on taking care of business. Congrats on four consecutive NCAC championships. Next goal..undefeated season...beat Hiram next week...and then Down the Dannies in two weeks.

A thorough dismantling of the Yeoman by the Little Giant his afternoon.

As was mentioned earlier - it could have been worse.  Glad Raeburn gave the 2nd and 3rd stringers some action.

Today's contest made clear that Raeburn will not allow the boys to look past anyone.

Hiram, your next.

Thoughts from C'ville...

I don't think we need a big breakdown on this one.  Wabash, on Senior Day and playing to clinch a tournament berth, just had far too much for Oberlin on this day.  I won't spend much time on the game because the boxscore speaks for itself today.  But there are some other things of note

- Congratulations to Darryl Kennon for establishing a new highwater mark for career sacks at Wabash.  Having seen the previous record holders play (B.J. and Blair Hammer), crashing that record is no joke.  Those guys were some serious players and DK belongs in that company.

- I really hope Mangan is able to get back and perform on his Senior Day next week.  You always hate to see an athlete go down like that.

- Congratulations to all the of Seniors at Wabash on outstanding careers and for capping their careers a perfect 4-4 for NCAC championshps.  That is a very impressive feat.

- Thanks to the WOBL Oberlin radio crew who were kind enough to ask me to join them for a few minutes on air today.  It was fun to chat with you guys in the booth...hopefully we can do it again soon!  Who knew wally_wabash had a Q-rating?   :)

One more thing...LG will be happy to hear that the trophy presentation was Queen-free this time around.   :D

Does Wheaton losing knock them out of a pool C spot?  I would assume it does.

You have to believe so, bashbro.  With just 6 pool C bids available, there just isn't room for two losses.  #4 in the nation to essentially done in 7 days....that's a rough week for the Thunder.

Mercifully, Wheaton is done. it was an embarrassment today. They are not a top 25 team. They will be lucky to win either of their last 2 games.

Schwami

The Wheaton loss will have interesting ramifications for this week's regional rankings.  There are now only 9 unbeaten or 1-loss teams left in the North region.  Presumably Aurora will be ranked this week, since they were the only 1-loss team not to be ranked last week.  Wooster could easily slide in to the rankings as the only 2-loss team with both of its losses coming to regionally ranked and unbeaten teams.

If that happens, Wabash and Case Western each pick up a win against a regionally ranked opponent, while North Central loses its win against a regionally ranked opponent.  Who knows if that reshuffles the rankings #2 - #6.  North Central has a tough game coming up next week against Augustana, likely for the CCIW championship, and will be without its starting QB.
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

USee -

Do you think the way the Thunder lost to N. Central last week had an impact on the way they played today?   Lack of focus?
