Do you ship, air expresss, to a couple of us stuck at the Mellow Mushroom telecast gathering in Atlanta? Rumor has it that the pizza emporium will offer free substitution of zucchini for tofu on Dannie orders and Zima by the glass, but...  :D

I'm watching at home this year, so the food will be good. But that lineup sounds awesome.

To the great chagrin of Dannies everywhere, Zima has been officially discontinued.

You may still be able to find Zima on some store shelves, but once it's gone, it's gone.

In an unrelated story, there have been reports of shortages of Boone's Farm beverages all across Putnam County.

Regarding Wooster.... I know it is a long shot but IF they win out, does the fact that there losses are to two teams ranked in the top ten help them?

Having played two teams that may wind up 10-0 or 9-1 helps their OWP numbers which makes them look better per the selection criteria.  I don't know that Wooster's strength of schedule numbers can be inflated enough to overcome the second regional loss though.  Certainly, if the committee gets to a point where they are discussion two-loss teams (and a lot of losing has to happen around to get to that point), then the Scots would have a really good resumé.

Wally, Thanks.

Well we just have to wait and see what happens. We have two games to play yet anyway.

Thanks again.

Wooster has the best SOS among 2-loss teams

But for a two-loss team to have a shot, a lot of current one-loss teams would have to lose, and that would change the two-loss SOS landscape a bunch.

Wooster @ Oberlin will be on STO Sat night at 10:30.

Try not to blow your own horn short this was your top 10 for wabash coaches?//

"I will remind you that ER was in my top 10 for Wabash 6 to 8 weeks before being named the next HC."

1.Mike Leonard (Franklin) has IN recruiting/coaching/playing ties
2. Chris Wiesehan (OL Syracuse) he is a Wabash Man
3. Jim Collins (Capital) proven he can beat Wittenburg, would probably like to get alway from Mount Union
4. Greg Debeljak (Case) coming off an 11-1 year with his only loss to Wabash
5. Eric Koehler (Wartburg) 16-4 in his 1st 2 season as a HC has IN recruiting/Coaching/Playing ties
6. Mike Sirianni (W&J) has done a great job, is young, and a D3 guy!
7. Brain Ward (McPherson) Strong Wabash tied under CC and a GREAT Recruiter
8. Jim Zebrowski (OC UW Whitewater) Has been a Head Coach at Lakeland with a 24-4 record in League Play
9. Pedro Arruza (Randy- Mac) Played at Wheaton coach at Wash U so has mid-west ties
10. B.J. Hammer (Whitter) a little too young but a Wabash Man

With Cap's Coach moving on I only of 9 of 10 Coaches so here is a new Name

# 10 Erik Raeburn (Coe, 36 years old) Has a good record and is from Ohio. I also think he will be trying to get the Capital Job but would think that Wabash is a better job than Capital.

I wrote this 3 days later, looking back I was only 5 weeks ahead!  My Bad!

I know Wooster breaking into the regional rankings have gotten their faithful's hopes up a little about a possible postseason.  But, wouldn't it seem that Witt has a clearer path to a pool C bid than Wooster - given only 1 in-region loss thus far?  I understand that Wooster's OWP is putting them over Witt now:

Wittenberg  5-1  0.833  0.449  0.508
Wooster  5-2  0.714  0.604  0.475

But wouldn't a one-region loss Wittenberg team that beats Wooster have a greater shot at Pool C bid than a two-region loss Wooster team that beats Wittenberg?

And by greater shot - I mean any shot.

Yes.  1-loss Wittenberg probably has a better shot than 2-loss Wooster, IMO.  I was a little surprised when it was Wooster and not Wittenberg that got into the rankings this week actually.  I would guess that the committee feels that Wooster's advantage in OWP and the better result against common opponent WUStl compensates for that extra regional loss.

Hey.  I made that joke last week.  Come on.  You're ripping me off here.
