They don't appear to be in. East and North brackets down and no COW.

Thanks... best of luck to Wabash next week.  Represent the NCAC well!

Off to Cleveland again to face the Spartans - time to break out last year's game tapes!

If Wabash and Wheaton take care of business this Saturday, Wabash will have a home game v Wheaton. Either way they will be playing the Thunder if they win (Trine and Wheaton share the nickname)

In retrospect after yesterday's debacle at Hollett, the LGs might (and note emphasis on "might") have benefitted from the fall to #6, given the bracket.  At least Case and Wheaton are known commodities, instead of a first rounder against Otterbein.  LGs need to get their daubers out of the dirt and play mad. That 4-5 matchup could be really interesting if Franklin brings its "A" game - not too good if they don't...

This year CWRU's OL is smaller, but quicker.  Freshman DT who is 255 and quick.  Two dependable WRs who didn't play last year.  Both O and D are more varied this year.

Should be a great game.  Looks like Saturday's weather might be the best day of this week.

congrats to the tigers on keeping the bell.
i agree withn the consensus... we got monkey-stomped.
and i was wrong... as i thought if it was a ms it would be in favor of the ranked team!

my question (with absolutely no sarcasm) if you can play like that at bell time, why not trinity/ millsaps?
i just can not make sense of yesterday's game

For the NCAC guys that make it over to the OAC, the spreads have been posted for the Playoff Pick-Em Contest.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Well, the DPU guys have been saying all along that those teams (TU and Millsaps) are better than us. After yesterday it's hard to argue that.

trinity lost to centre... and millsaps.
hardly unbeatable.
i'd save that word for mt union... and there was last year.
and that this year uww loses and squeaks by uw-stout.
and a team that seemed to be improving... and overcoming a change at the helm is beat at home(good-bye streak) by a team that is not playoff bound and had some squeakers that were not millsaps or trinity.
is there some weird alignment of the stars... confusion in d3... new parity?

My view of it is the same as it has been since I started following this matchup in the fall of '85.

The intensity of this rivalry is such that if you come into this game with something to lose, you likely will.

The other thing to be remembered is that these are 18, 19, and 20 year old kids, a good chunk of whom have had a pretty rough semester by all accounts.

So much for my five cent crack pot psycho analysis of this game....we got our ass kicked.

Let's go beat the crap out of Case!!!!!!

Being a girl and all, I am sure you gentlemen will excuse me while I cry :'(

Thumping Witt yesterday did prevent progressing straight to hysteria though ;D

Good luck to the Little Giants against Case.  ;)

dpu almost got the bell... and the bonus.
i  guess the committee took them seriously... and so should we.
we also took one of the biggest drops on d3 poll i can remember! YIKES!!!

Mr. Ypsi

Since Woo was #8 in the final (published) regional rankings and crushed 7-2 Witt, while Wheaton was unranked and crushed 5-4 Carthage, yet Wheaton obviously jumped Woo to get in while Woo stays home, I'm surprised at the lack of 'gnashing of teeth'.  Speculation is that Wabash's loss cost Woo big time, but I'm not sure I can totally buy that.

Understand, I'm a CCIW guy and DO think Wheaton is probably stronger than Woo, but I really can't understand how the final (published) ranking could be so different from the (secret) final, final ranking.  While totally delighted, I was shocked that Wheaton made it in.  (I figured that Wheaton would be blocked behind Woo, and either DePauw or Cal Lu would be the last one in.)

Li'l Giant

The drop was similar to what Wheaton saw when they lost to NCC. They went from 4 to 15. It makes sense. Notwithstanding the rivalry you're going to fall hard when you get blasted by an unranked team at home.
