I think you are a little early with your recruiting question. Most of the potential students are waiting to get their acceptance letters which usually do not come until March. Many final decisions by the students are then not made until the financial aid/merit scholarship information is received from the schools. Then until the student sends in a deposit the schools do not usually release the incoming Freshman Football class. It is totally different than Division I or II with athletic scholarships.

BT,

Happy New Year. Thanks for l the update. It makes sense. Meanwhile, I see a very competitive conference

BTEXPRESS

Muledaddy, I agree, I think the conference will be very competative next season. At least half the teams have a shot at the title. I am really glad to see the Mules getting the new style turf, and with Dickinson adding turf, the conference will only have three teams left with the REAL STUFF, Juniata, F & M and Ursinus. I do like the field turf, but sometimes I miss the" Mudder Games".

Have any of the teams, other that DIckinson and John Hopkins, put the schedule's together for 2008. There has been talk but no final postings on any of the conference schools. Being back in this cold weather makes the old bones sore. Should have stayed in FL longer.

muledaddy

Old,

I also share your anxious desire to have the schedules come out.In particular, I have a son who wants

to get married in the Fall but must wait to see when the bye week in the Mules schedule is or his

younger brother, a Mule senior,  can't  be  in the wedding .........Yikes

Muledaddy:

The conference games for 2008 are posted, but do not have the non conference games listed.
The link below will open with the 2007 schedule, go to page 2. You will see that your Muhles are off Sept 20th
Get that wedding planned before all the good spots are gone.

Good luck

muledaddy

Old,

Thanks. The 20th will be the wedding, provided that we get the non conference games, Wilkes and Union,

out of the way on the 6th and the 13th. Those 2 will be tough, before starting with Gettysburg.

It's going to be a heck of a ride...everyone wants to kill the king...........always.

Well let us hope that there will be no King killing, but maybe there could be a new king of the hill.
If the Dickinson quaterback recovers from his broken collar bone they could be the team to beat this year. Ursinus lost alot of seniors, and Hopkins always has potential.

Muledaddy:

You got some great womens basketball at Muhlenberg this week (Friday). Go see the NCAA's

you may get to see some of the new football recruits also...( had to add that so it remained on the realm of football)

ever improving offense.......I am looking hard at the Rd devils and they look good, but the Blue Jays

Kase and Murray combo are every bit as goood in my book. The war will be won again on defense, I think.

We can play with the best..we were missing our starting safety and key roving d back  as a result of injuries when we were finally beat by a very very good Wesley team in round 2 of the playoffs.....We
will try like heck to pick up where we left off....strong defense and 30 pts a game offense.

muledaddy

When does Spring training start...I am getting anxious.,the conference is amazing.Newcomer Moravian

sure  made a nice first year showing.Who is ready to start kicking around some preseason predictions,

or at least some discussion about possibilities or probables?

Why doesn't Santagato get some respect on the local level, noting that d3 national wrap up for the

2007 year commented most favorably about the little field general? What does he have to do to get the
respect that he deserves...he has been a winner from day 1  for the Mules. Short people get a bad rap.
10-0 conference record  for the Mules was a direct result of his smarts, not throwing if it wasn't there.

Sometime during the end of April. I Think!!??

muledaddy

Old,

I see Hopkins,Moravian,Dickinson, and maybe  1 other challenging for the Mules championship.Any thoughts? I think that the Mules must improve their kicking game and that the 3 I have mentioned
are looking good from a kicking standpoint.

I've been questioning whether Dickinson is going to compete for a conference title this year. I know that one player really isn't the difference between winning and losing -- this is a team sport -- but what about several players?

Out of the nine Red Devil players that made the all-conference team this past year, eight of them were seniors. That's a heafty load. Sure, QB Mitchell is a dynamic player, but he'll be needing his O-line more than ever in '08.

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

BTEXPRESS

Dickinson did lose some very talented players on both sides of the ball. However, I think their Offense will carry the team, as long as Mitchell is healthy, until the defense can catch up. Overall, they will need their younger replacement players to step it up in a hurry in order to compete for the conference title.
