Old,

Your point is well taken  and I will "root", not "route" for the CC teams when playing out of conference, after the Saxons spank a little Bear butt......Have a nice day.

Reserved Seat

I don't know about Juniata's freshmen, but F&M started a backfield of all freshmen, quarterback and running backs.

Muhlenburg has defeated Wilkes  34- 21

That makes theConference 7-2 for the weekend, good luck to all next weekend.

splik

It sounds like the Eagles had a tough time on offense versus the Gators on Saturday.  Hopefully, the defense can remain stout and the offense can limit the turnovers and kick the crap out of the Crusaders next week.

Mates,

Congrats to the 7 winners and condolences to the 2 non winners.Who looked good and who got lucky.

Seriously, Salisbury Gulls , Ursinus Bears, Hopkins Jays, say a prayer of thanksgiving....all
the stats but the score favor the opposition........as well as I can recall....ditto the Gettysburg loss......

I guess a win is a win is a win......but some are prettier than others..like roses

BTEXPRESS

It looks like F & M recruited themselves a nice backfield for the next four years. Very impressive win over Washington & Lee. Dickinson's QB Ian Mitchell looked like he is fully recovered from his injuries from last season. Dickinson's offensive did a nice job considering the terrible weather conditions. The Mules also look like they haven't missed a beat. It was a good thing they finished the new turf field with all the rain. Overall a great start for the conference with a 7-2 record.

SU Backer

Muledaddy......yep those stats sure favored the opposition in the SU vs. Albright game.....SU 1st downs 21 Alb-13, Rush yds SU 380 Alb-38 total yds. SU 396 Alb 263, Avg gain SU- 5.8 Alb 4.6 SU-1 punt all day.......uh maybe not.....c'mon you won the playoff game, we got that, why the consistent dogging?

BTEXPRESS

After looking on the D3 Football.com site, the Centennial Conference's 7 -2 start wasn't too bad. The other local Mid Atlantic conferences did't start out as well. The PAC was 1-8 with only power Washington & Jefferson winning and the MAC was 3-4. I realize it is only the first week but the fast start is encouraging.

muledaddy

Dear SU,

I stand corrected on the Gull stats...it was only the points that were close...........as I stated,

I was going from memory, and I guess the memory wasn't all that good after reading stats for

30 games......it looks like you have a nice team again  and I hope we get a chance to meet down the road in

late November,,have a great night game....

(September 7) - The Centennial Conference has selected its Players of the Week for the week ending September 6. Muhlenberg QB Eric Santagato was named the Offensive Player of the Week, after throwing for 308 yards and three TDs vs. Wilkes. Johns Hopkins DB Chris Baldwin scored three defensive touchdowns - two after picking off passes and another off a fumble recovery - to go along with 10 tackles vs. St. Lawrence. Franklin & Marshall's Jarrell Diggs and Moravian's Brian Reckenbeil shared the Special Teams award. Diggs returned a punt 49 yards vs. W&L for a touchdown, while Reckenbeil booted a pair of field goals, including a school-record 47-yarder, vs. Susquehanna.

More on all  the games here : http://www.centennial.org/football/index.html

Ursinus +6, Hopkins +4, Moravian +4, F & M and McDaniel +2, on the turnovers. Get the ball anyway you can to stop the other team, but do not give it up.

Dickinson topped all with rushing offense 240 yards
Muhlenberg lead passing and total offense with 308 pass and 496 total.

F & M an amazing total defense of 51 yds lead the conference.

Good weekend for the conference.

Old Ends, Thanks for doing this. It was fun last year. Where oh where has Bitman gone(HA HA)? Here goes: I think I am picking more with my heart this week.

DICKINSON over Hobart( Hobart's opening game & Dickinson looked strong last week)
F & M over Catholic ( Could be the most improved team in the league)
HAMPDEN SYDNEY over G'burg (Disappointing loss for the Bullets last week)
HOPKINS over Randolph Macon ( The Yellow Jackets also had a disappointing loss against 1-9 Kings last week)
JUNIATA over Susguehanna ( The Eagles match their win total from last year in their second game)
MORAVIAN over McDaniel ( The Hounds are too tough)
URSINUS over LVC ( Good opening win over Alfred last week for the Bears)
