Mates,

If you ever come to Schenectady, for a Union game or anything else, try a meal at Mikes world famous hot dogs...
....
good game talk from Jack, the owner, a former Union b-ball standout....

For Italian  cuisine, try the Ferrari family  offering, once again good people and good food. Game on....2hr and some minutes...locals say Mules are a 21 pt favorite...I say lets win by one or more.....Go Mules

Congrats to a very solid Muhlenburg team. You clearly deserved the win today at Union and I wish you all the luck this season. You guys are big, strong and very athletic!

I saw TWO CC conference games this weekend. Both were very fun and exciting to watch.

F &M at Dickinson. Great atmosphere with the first night  game in Dickinson's history. The place was PACKED, standing room only with over 5200 in attendence. F & M gave Dickinsion all they could handle in the first half. They have some speed. The Freshman QB John Harrison played well, although not very big, he did a fine job throwing and running. Dickinson made adjustments at half time and the Mtchell to O'Connor connection (O'Connor caught 12 passes) was the difference. The Devils defense played very tough in the second half.

Juniata at Ursinus . Again another very nice crowd with 2900 fan for Ursinus' family day. The way the game started out you thought Ursinus was going to blow the Eagles out. Juniata could just not move the ball and was going three and out the whole first quarter. I was sitting with the Juniata fans and they were saying that it was the same old play calling ( where are you MURPH?). They then starting passing and moving the ball and actually got the lead late in the 4th quarter. Both QB's carried their respective teams on their backs in the second half. You could tell both were Seniors and were making plays on their own. Both Dye( Ursinus) and Leonard (Juniata) were outstanding. It is a shame that one team had to lose. Although Juniata is 0-3 on the season, they never quit. Very entertaining game.

Muhlenberg is now ranked #5. Keep it going.

Muledaddy I can see your glow all the way to Maryland.

Mulefolk and conference fans,

The Mules work hard but we need to open up the offense a little. The conservative play calling so far
is contraindicated when you have healthy young Mules who should be able to put 38+pts on the board
every game.

For example, Union was putting 8-9 in the box and  we were running predictable  plays, instead of changing
things  up.
Defense is getting stronger; we have the Mules, its just a matter of using them right to get a Muletrain.

We are a little bang up this week going into our first conference game, hopefully the offense and defense can get on the same page this week. Both Wilkes and Union were worthy oponents and a great challenge for these Stubborn Mules, so our boy's are going to have to bring there A Game for the next 8 weeks, but lets just take one week at a time and concentrate on a Gettysburg win.

Go Mules !

BTEXPRESS

I had a good week picking the games, let's see if I can do it again and  move back into contention.

DICKINSON over McDaniel ( Red Devils have too much firepower)
MUHLENBERG over G'burg ( Can't see the Bullets pulling an upset here)
MORAVIAN over Hopkins ( picked this one out of a hat)
F & M over Juniata ( could be tighter than people think)
SALISBURY over DVC ( little bit of an upset here)

With Dickinson playing McDaniel this weekend, it has made me wonder...  Remember when McDaniel was WMC, and they used to win games?  What happened to all their annoying fans who used to post messages on this board?

BTEXPRESS

Oak, you are right do we even have any McDaniel fans who post anything on this board anymore????

Terrorizer24

Quite honestly, there is not much to talk about for McDaniel Football other than Keating has long since worn out his welcome, and they can not get good athletes to go there any more.  No one wants to play for a loser like him.  He was never the reason they were good during the "Glory Days" of WMC, it was Al Thomas and Brad Fordyce who brought in the talent and ran the great defense that the Terror was known for.  The program is in the tank, and as long as Keating is running the show, it will remain there.  Just see how he talks about his quarterback situation in the paper.  He talks about his players in the public eye in a disrespectful way, and thats why he cant get good recruits, and thus they terror will be lucky to go 2-8 this year and for the foreseable future.  That being said, that doesnt take away anything from the players and staff members (other than Keating) that won all those CC Titles in the late 90's and early 2000's.
