Daddy,

One of the keys to success in D3 is large squads.  This helps with the injury situation and gets guys playing in their natural  position.  Another is getting to postseason play so everybody gets more practices to prepare for the next year.

Look at the teams that are successful year after year such as UMHB, UWW, St. John's, and MUC and you will see this pattern.

Otherwise, be happy that you get to the playoffs and that your son is getting a good education playing the sport he loves.

Whitewater and all the WIAC have roster limits of 100.
If you can't ignore an insult, top it; if you can't top it, laugh it off; and if you can't laugh it off, it's probably deserved.

Roo and Pat,

We are all involved with D3, where the kids are all scholar athletes;some appear to be a tad more athletic;i.e. Mt Union, UMHB, WW, et al........if the Mt Union program has over 100 freshman players, and
has a 10 game freshman/jv schedule, I can understand the obvious. Go Wheaton.......Merry Christmas and Happy Hollidays to all. Let's see a good final round and a great Stagg Bowl like last years outstanding WW performance.

Flash,
2pts: congratulations on a program which does an amazing job, annually, with a 100 man  roster
limit;
kudos for the best signature saying I have seen on the boards...about those insults....ha-ha....if I could figure out how to give you kkarma, I would.......

Pick ums

MHB over W Whitewater ( spoils a rematch)
MT UNION over Wheaton ( another victim)

Word is that Vinny Corona is transfering from McDaniel

BTEXPRESS

If he is, it is not because of playing time. Not too many times do you get a QB who is transferring who started his entire Freshman year. Any word where? another CC school? You don't really see too many transfers between CC schools.

Sincere congratulations to all South Region picks, but special best wishes to

John DeLuca (who ran faster, longer and harder than anyone else on the champion Mules this
year and last, this year with a broken/dislocated hand for 8 wks, preventing him from being able to use that hand to straight-arm would be tacklers on that side),
to Matt Rathbun (another captain stalwart leader of the defense who proved that you can play, even with broken ribs, an inspiration to a defense that started slow, but got better as the season went on) and to Billy Moates, one tough defensive lineman, whose father was the restraining influence on me in the stands when I found myself getting over excited), : thanks for the back to back championship, your leadership, and your courageous smash mouth football play. Happy Hollidays..
Congrats to the guys on the team from the other schools as well, all most deserving.

Wouldn't a dislocated hand be called something different?? Like, severed or something?

Saints,

I don't know but one can have a dislocated finger, shoulder, arm, without amputation,in addition to a fracture/break. I purposely resisted asking J.D. too many details about his injury after each game at the family tailgate; I just saw his face, which showed how much he could suck it up and go through pain..You had to see that kid to believe how tough he was on the football field!!!! His hand and his litle finger were kaput......he could have stopped playing and had surgery but refused to do so since it would have ended his season after game 3 or 4, I forget which. One tough kid.

CC12

Since we are discussing injuries, Special congrats to a player from my Alma Mater... Pat O'Connor, i've heard through parents that Pat has played the past two season with Arthritis is both knees. Thats right, a 20 year old with arthritis in the knees playing college football. Also to Dickinson center andrew cuikerescu playing with a separated should and QB Ian mitchell who played an entire season with 2 torn tendons in his ankle.
