Our Centennial Kickoff writer played football at a school in the Centennial.

What is the protocol with discussing any predictions or rankings from Kickoff? Just curious because I'd like to hear other people's thoughts on the predictions in the CC from Kickoff.

Bulldog10

If someone played football in the Centennial, That does not mean they have a better idea of what is going on PRESENTLY.

Not trying to take a shot at you, just making a point.

Thanks though, Kickoff is great, and I really enjoy it.

You can comment on Kickoff within Kickoff, to be sure -- there is comment functionality. Certainly would like conversation to be there if possible.

Bulldog10 -- sorry, did seem like you were taking a shot with your previous post, though.

Ahhh, Labor Day weekend.  The final throes of summer.  Cookouts on a warm afternoon.  'Smores around the camp fire.  And, of course, Division III football on the internet on Saturday night.

Delaware Valley
vs.
Muhlenberg

To listen to the game from your camper as you soak in the last moments of the summer, click here.

Kickoff for the Mules' and Aggies' seasons is at 7 pm.  Pregame starts at 6:40 pm.

That's a stiff opener for the Mules.  Good luck boys.

Does the Centennial Conference have any limits common to all schools as :) to the number of men and women athletes allowed in an entering class? Also, are there any uniform academic standards for athletes? Or is it a wide range of policies and practices? What about fall "captain's" practices in which I counted 30 women lacrosse players yesterday at one school? Thanks for any insight.

BTEXPRESS

You mean like Nescac which limits it Football squad to 75 players or it's TIPS program on allowing a certain amount admissions for athletes? No, the CC does not have such limitations. Each school has their own admission standards. I am sure it is harder to get accepted to some of the schools than others in the CC, but most of the schools are pretty much in line with each other. Most of the time it comes down to Financial Aid and/or Academic Scholarships which does differ from school to school on attracting student athletes.

Hi guys,
It's time...this week I must go with my local team, the Delval Aggies, who will overpower my beloved Mules.....the Aggies deserve their national recognition and I lok forward to following them on a national scale all year ...as I continue to successfully prognosticate here, in my beloved CC conference.
I need to find a way to get Coach Mike Donnelly a little luck, so he can compete in what is going to be a
tough conference with a lot of excitement for all of us, and more than a few great upsets...Best of luck to all

                                           Humbly  yours,

Is there going to be pick 'ems again this year? I am not going to have access to a computer after today so I guess I will post my picks now in hopes that we will be doing pick 'ems again.

Del Val over Muhlenberg
Leb Val over Gburg
McDaniel over Juniata
Susquehanna over Moravian
Ursinus over Albright
F&M over W&L

Could be some real good games this weekend. The Ursinus vs. Albright game intrigues me because some people are high on Ursinus this year and Albright lost quite a bit from their playoff team a year ago. Would like to see the CC take it to the MAC this weekend but I believe Del Val and Leb Val are too strong of teams to overcome. Would like to see Moravian bounce back after a very down year last year but just not sure where the offense is going to come from. As a Moravian Grad it's hard to admit but I think Muhlenberg will work its way back toward the top this year. They have some young guys who got experience on the offense last year and their defense is always a force. My pick for the conference champ going into week 1 is between F&M and Hopkins and I am siding with F&M initially as long as they can put together a strong defense. Just my opinions...would like to hear others.

BTEXPRESS

I ran the pickems last year, but my son suffered a career ending injury and I have lost my luster for this season. I still love D3 football and the CC conference, but my heart is just not into it this year. Anyone want to step up to the plate for the pickems???

ccfan27

BT, I'm very sorry to hear about your son. Thanks for your willingness in the past to run the pick 'ems pool.

I can help run the pool but may not be able to maintain it every week so may need some help from some others on the board.

If people want to do this, post your picks and I will compile the first week's results when I get back next week. BT, your picks are welcome if you desire to make picks but don't have it in you to compile all the results for the year.

Games for the week are below:

Del Val @ Muhlenberg
Gburg @ Leb Val
McDaniel @ Juniata
Susquehanna @ Moravian
Ursinus @ Albright
W&L  @ F&M

If there isn't a whole lot of interest in this we can just scrap it for the year. We can determine this based on participation this week.

That's rough BT, try to hang in there. My son was injured and lost a year and would have been done except for a recently developed miracle of modern medicine.
I think CC nailed the picks this week so mine would be.

DITTO

Except I'll take Susquehanna to win the conference.
