How crazy would it be if JHU and the Mules played in the semifinals?  A looooooooong shot.  But it might dispel the idea that the CC is a weak conference.  WHat do you think the odds might be?

JHU and the Mules in the semis? Ouch. Don't even want to think about it.
Nice to see a Muhlenberg poster on here. How about getting some of your buddies on here as well. Since our teams have never played each other, we need to get better acquainted.
I congratulated you guys on a previous post, so will not do it again here. Yes I will, congrats on your win and your good season..
Hope to hear more from the Mules fans. Go Mules and Go Raiders! 🐴 ☠ 😃

This isn't a very active board and probably never will be. That being said, odds are you will probably see both of the Centennial representatives in the next two rounds. I'd wager you'll see about 200 fans traveling to Alliance from each school-mostly families of the players. I've been to a lot of Muhlenberg-JHU games over the years. You'll like the people you meet. You're going to see two talented well-coached teams that are solid on both sides of the ball and very similar in terms of skill level. JHU is a little better on offense and Muhlenberg a little better on defense. They're going to be better than you expect, but certainly not on par with UWW, UMHB or St. Johns. Both of these teams would have likely beaten John Carroll this year. I only saw one Mount Union game this year and it wasn't in person. The Raiders looked to be a little faster and a little more physical than the Blue Jays and Mules and are certainly a very well-coached team-although I think you will be impressed with the O-line of Hopkins, they're very good and their QB is top-notch. This Mount Union is better than any team Muhlenberg or JHU have ever faced-travel and awe are going to be factors, although Muhlenberg has made a trip to Ohio (to play TMC) and Hopkins has played Mount Union before. 10-team leagues and limited travel budgets make inter-conference comparisons difficult, but these are two teams that would be competitive in any D3 conference. Turning over the Magic-Ball and guessing at the scores- 45-24 & 48-35 and good luck to Mount Union in the Stagg Bowl.

Nice hearing from you and welcome to the boards. We have a lot of fun here and even learn a little about what's going on in Dlll. Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg are the real deal. 250 teams started the season but only 8 remain! Don't ya just love Dlll football? 🏈 🍺 ❗️

I'd rather have a 10 league conference any day, I remember the days that we had to find 8 games while being independent. Interesting, the CC usually plays the MAC or ODAC teams for OOC, which is similar to how the NJAC has the NJAC/MAC challenge. Do you think the CC will open up its OOC schedule with the current success, possibly playing PAC/OAC/NJAC teams?

If you missed the broadcast you can watch the entire 10 minute feature here:

I promise you it's worth 10 minutes of your time.
What a great tribute to Coach Donnelly. I hope our Hobart alum, Coach Milne, can follow in his footsteps. Good luck to the Mules against the Raiders .....you never know , the ball bounces in funny ways.

Just cross-pollinating from the other conference with two teams left in it.

Good luck to the Jays and the other Pool C team left, the Mules.

Hey Mules fans

Would love to hear from you. Weather forecast for Saturday, as of now, is rain with temps from 49-55. So, won't be cold but will be wet. Many people on the boards would be glad to provide info on a broad range of things. Our alumni office, headed up by Tiffany Hogya, has been in contact with Muhlenberg.
If you're coming down (or over), travel safely and enjoy your visit to northeast Ohio. See you Saturday? Best to the Mules and Go Raiders! 🐴  😃 ☠

Sadly, this board lost it's mojo a few years back.  We had some nice reparte going but all of those fans have left the boards so I check in once or twice a season to see if there is any activity.  It is great to see such good will from you Purple Raiders fans and to see some posts here for a change.  I just hope the Mules give you guys a run for the money.

I live in Texas now.  It would be a mind bowing miracle if we made it to the Stagg Bowl.  I might show up no matter who is playing.  Best of luck to the Mules and the Raiders and of course JHU too.

As a Hobart guy I'd love to see Coach Milne's team show well, but have watched D3FB for almost 30 years and first time teams vs. MU rarely fare well. JHU vs. RPI should be a better match up, and could play to the Engineers strengths with bad weather potentially hurting the Blue Jays awesome offense.

Can't wait to see how it pans out. Our tale of the tape is posted on our twitter page and our preview show will be out later today / tonight. Good luck!

I visited the Muhlenberg web site and was very impressed with the planning for the game. Pep rally, poster party, and lots of free food plus free bus tickets for students. Nice! The buffet at Mount is very good if that is your choice and worth the $8. WELCOME to the MACHINE!

Watched the tribute to Coach Donnl!ey and was very impressed. Sorry for your loss but my guess is he'll be watching.

Reminds me of a coach we just lost from Mount. Have a safe trip to Alliance!
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

WOW........Everybody must be on the bus headed for Alliance! Too much free food I guess. I don't even hear any.crickets! ;D
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

If you see this, know that I will wander over to your tailgate area tomorrow. Even if you don't see this, I will still wander over tomorrow. But if you don't see this, how will you know? You'll know when you see me. I always enjoy talking to our visitors. Good luck to The Mules! And The Raiders! 🐴 🏈 ☠ ❗️

Dang! I might as well throw in 2 cents since (say it ten times fast) there are so many other visitors to this board.

Great school-yard TD by JHU. Ya' think the refs like to get involved? Call it back by 2 flags when there could have been 20.
I wasn't there so I don't know if either of them directly led to the 10 second scramble and completed pass.
