one player does  not make a winning or losing team. I only reported what info was available to me in another post. from what I see so far the centennial league should be a very competive league. there appears to be 5 0r 6 teams that have some quality skill players either returning or transfering. hope it makes for a competive season

Remember that the state schools  in Pa are D2... So anyone transfereing to a D3 from one of the D2 school may be taking a step up to D3.....  ;D
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

I believe Hopkins has a scrimmage tomorrow vs. catholic, should be a good measuring stick, does Muhlenberg or Ursinus have any upcoming scrimmages?

BITMAT.24CB

Just for fun and in order to try and generate some interest in the board and follow the teams I will list the weekly centennial games. If you would like to play along simply post all of your picks each week by the day prior to the first game. ie. the first games scheduled are for 8/30. picks must be posted by 8/29.
I will keep a running tally of all the picks and post them each Monday.

Here is the week 1 schedule:

Thursday 8/30
Ursinus @ LaSalle
Moravian @ Susquehanna
Friday 8/31
Muhlenberg @ TCNJ
Saturday 9/1
Dickenson @ Grove City
Lebanon Valley @ Gettysburg
John Hopkins @ Hampden-Sydney
McDaniel @ Bridgewater

Once again, the Centennial Conference office will produce its "Gameday" site for the 2007 football season.  Here you can get links to this week's games, rosters, statistics, audio and LIVE STATS links, the Conference weekly release and much more.  Click on www.centennial.org/football/gameday.html for all the information.

Here our my picks:

Ursinus over Lasalle
Moravian over Susquehanna
TCNJ over Mulenberg
Hopkins over Hamden Syndey
Lenanon Valley over Gettysburg
Dickinson over Grove City

Should be a great start for the Centennial

Bulldog10

No way that Ursinus loses in week 1.  They will come out hot and crush Lasalle.  Moravian will be a winner.

Any word on scrimmages for any of these teams?

BITMAT.24CB

I know Moravian had a scrimmage in NJ. did not hear how it went. anyone know?

Bulldog10:

Ursinus scrimmaged Delaware Valley in Doylestown yesterday afternoon, but I haven't heard how it went.

Bulldog10

Moravian is ALWAYS weak at QB.
Along with Muhlenberg as well,

Must be a Lehigh Valley thing.

BITMAT.24CB

Heard thru the rumor mill that supposedly he is no longer with the team. if this is true don't know if it is personal reasons are because he didn't win the starting job. My co-workers son that he was the best qb they had of the three.
My personal note: if he did leave because he didn't win the starting spot the team is probably better off without him. A real headcase?

Pat Coleman

Bears repeating -- transfers from a scholarship division aren't necessarily better than Division III players, let alone guaranteed dominant.
