Bears repeating -- transfers from a scholarship division aren't necessarily better than Division III players, let alone guaranteed dominant.

I agree with this assessment.  I am a recent graduate and a 4 year player on a D3 Football team.  My team struggled for three years with transfers from scholarship divisions and it wasnt until this last year that we got our act together and put a solid football team on the field.  D3 doesnt mean not athletic.  In most cases, D3 is a better division due to the rivalries and intense competition.  D3 is about the team aspect,  more having than a select few gifted athletes like higher divisions are all about.  I look forward to contributing to this board and providing my take on this conference which promisses to be a good one this year

The main differences between D-2 and D-3 are tangibles like size and speed, not intangibles like HEART, heart shows more in Division 3 than anywhere else...PERIOD!

Ursinus

Caught a Scrimmage a few weeks ago with Ursinus and Del Val.. The Line for Ursinus is big and fast.. The Center lead the charge out running the back following him.. Did not catch his name. The backfield look read good and fast.

Will be watching Dickinson this week.
have fun

I will be attending the Ursinus vs. Lycoming Game this week and it looks to be a good one.  Ursinus ran all over LaSalle last week and thier air attack's timing seemed to be a little off.  Lyco's D held last weeks opponent to minimal yards on the ground but they were suspect against the pass.  Ursinus must take advantage of this and throw the ball around the field on Saturday.  Short quick passes to control ToP and move the ball down the field could be a winning strategy for the Bears this week against a usually big and powerful Lyco Defense.

CENTER FOR URSINUS IS JOHN RINKUS AND THE BACK WAS EITHER AARON HARPER OR ERIC REMBERT
