mules did graduate those 3 starters who were a big factor in their defense, but due to injuries there were a number of players on d who ended up starting for half of the season which gave them ample experience as starters.  they did dominate tcnj, but then again tcnj's offense is awful.  if i was the sjf coach giving pointers to union, the pointers would be to go to church saturday before the game and pray that their defense breaks down and plays as bad as they did against sjf.

.  you are right tcnj was awful and that shouldnt be held as benchmark........but numbers dont lie 76 total yards against is good regardless of how bad an offense you play against.  if i remember correctly you are a big alfred supporter, maybe you should contact one of the muhlenberg coaches and have them come up with a defensive scheme so that your saxons dont give up 5 touchdown passes this week.

Actually Struble of TCNJ is not a bad qb, he is playing behind a bad line.  TCNJ is a team that lost 22 graduating players.  They are not that good this year and you really can't use their first game as a measuring stick for Muhlenbergs defense.

i definitely agree that tcnj's qb isnt a bad qb.  i also have to agree that their line is what cause muhlenberg to own them all day defensively.  it was their line it wasnt their qb who was responsible for their explosive -23 rushing yards against the mules.  good o line or bad o line.........the bottom line is that muhlenbergs defense is a great defense.

Union 21 Muhlenberg 20:  tough one to call but this is the first test for the Mules defense.

Ursinus 27 LaSalle 24: Dont know much about Lasalle but was very impressed with Ursinus from what i read after the almost upset of ranked Albright.

F&M 30 Hobart 27: Dips will rebound against Hobart and win their first game of the series in Geneva.
