Just to intervene, I couldn't help but notice after reading for the past few days that it seems as if Murphy's sole purpose for being on the Post Patterns is to stick up for his son.  Let's get back to brass tacks and talk football, as this forum was designed to do...There's no doubt in my mind that Juniata plays their hearts out, practices as hard as anyone out there in the CC< but let's talk FACTS, as Terrorizer says, no one is going to go to Juniata in hopes of someday turning things around there....that's a fact...tell your boy to transfer, somwehere there is hope...i'll even play devils advocate and say Terrorizer is right in that if he's playing as a freshman the program is struggling, i'll glady say my alma mater is doing horrible, and they're starting freshmen in droves...it's FACT...

BTEXPRESS

TERRORIZER, Let me get this straight, your team is 1-8 with your only win being a 14 to 10 win against 0-9 Juniata and you are talking smack like your team is 8-1. If you think Juniata is a JV team what does that make your Westminster Boys????? I have watched this battle from a far(I have no dog in this fight). Murph is a proud Dad whose son probably came from a winning High School program and he is frustrated as obviously you are as well. As I have said on this board before, NO TEAM at any level, should have to go through a season without tasting a VICTORY. The Kids work too hard going to class, practice etc . not to get any reward in return. Your once proud program has fallen on hard times. After the Eagles get a win this weekend and your team finishes with the same 1-9 season record what are the two of you going to argue about in the off season?. THAT BEING SAID, THE TWO OF YOU HAVE MADE FOR SOME INTERESTING MESSAGE BOARD READING.

Terrorizer24

Please see the Post where i TRASHED the current McDaniel Program.  They are terrible.  But Juniata is worse.  McDaniel has history that helps them recruit, Juniata not so much.  I'm trying to help Murph get his kid to a better place to play if he was such a stud in high school.

GT97

i already know he's not inferring that Murph's son transfer to McDaniel, however, although they are also 1-8, McDaniel showed more promise of growth than Juniata...McDaniel started going downhill w/ the name-change...Juniata started going downhill when they decided to pick up a pig-skin...

Terrorizer24

I would never wish anyone the pain of playing in Tim keating's Offense.  If he's a good running back he should go to Gettysburg.  They have a good tail back who has to be a senior by now.

I did not hope for petty bickering.

So Juniata lost to McDaniel...which used to be Western Maryland....which is in the eastern part of Maryland?  I miss when they played Delaware Valley, which was in the Delaware Valley or Wilkes which is in Wilkes-Barre.
Now they are playing Gallaudet...which is a school for the deaf and hard of hearing...go figure.

Weird year.

For those who may be interested go to  www.d3sports.com and take a look at the projected playoffs.

Only Muhlenberg is shown for the Centennial Conference..

Bob.Gregg

What would y'all think of Mules being seeded #1 in the East Bracket?

Already with a win over NCAA East #1 New Jersey, plus a win over LL co-leader Union....

As far as I could find, haven't seen an import seeded #1 in a region.  Of course, also couldn't find a possible import with wins over a Region's #1, plus another conference leader...

Thoughts...
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

Well they do move teams around and it fits in the 500 mile radius.
Also Muhlenberg beat Dickinson which beat Hobart.

You question in a good one lets hope they see it and think about it.

WMC, aka McDaniel, was named for the Western Maryland Railroad that ran thru Westminster, thus the caboose on the hill.

splik

I think I had hear about the railroad connection.  I guess the railroad was not goo at geography either - Westminster is still in eastern MD.  Since I had never been to WMC, I did not realize there was a caboose.  Why the change to McDaniel?

It sounds like the Mules have a decent case for being a #1 seed.  Although, looking at the losing playoff record of the CC posted on the front page the conference's history is against them.

THAT'S not supposed to have anything to do with this year's selection or seeding.  That would be one of those BIAS things talked about elsewhere on PP...

Root for the Mules to get a home game and do well.   Let's see if the Born Power Index is accurate.
