Murph and BT,

You  both have Karma...staying power...having been on the board for the long haul...I am new, but willing to learn...would love to join you picking each week...next year..from the start...
but, for now, as I go back over the Mule schedule, and the Gull schedule (one for the birds), its MULES ALL THE WAY...mules kick....birds fly away......

Looking at the Stats for Muhlenberg and Salisbury some things stand out for both teams.

My favorite  turnovers: Muhlenberg +12
                                     Salisbury +0

Rushing Offense:           Salisbury  340.8 yds/game
                                     Muhlenberg194.9 yds/game

Passing Offense            Muhlenberg 206.1 yds/game
                                        Salisbury   104.5 yds/game

The one thing is that the stats for Muhlenberg are Centennial Conference games only, where as Salisbury is for all 10 games.

I think this is one game that the Home team has the advantage. Good luck Muhles

ECAC games...

With two more of our Centennial playing this weekend we all have a lot to watch.

Dickinson's game with Waynesboro: With Mitchell down and out could be a low scoring game if Dickinson can stop Waynesboro Offense. That looks basically to be one player. A Freshman, Robert Heller, who has a 201.9 yds/game avg. in rushing, 27 TD and 215.9 yds/game avg all purpose  Stop him stop a team.

Gettysburg's game with Carnegie Mellon: I read that Sturges left the F & M game with a hip pointer. Do not know if he will play or not because they are painfull. Carnegie has two players that have rushed for over 1000 yds. Stop them stop aa team

BT and Muldaddy what I went through this season was of my own making.

Being overly critical of a team (no matter your intent) that is near and dear to peoples hearts will bring criticism from many corners.  I created my own mess and tried to clean it up, apparently fbfan814 holds a resentment because he thinks Juniata is above critism.  Even though they are 4 and 36 over the last 4 years.

If you notice the quote at the bottom of my posts "Whatever goes contrary to fact, no matter how fond of it you are must be revised or discarded." by Carl Sagan goes along way to explaining my intent.

Enough of the soap opera.  Go mules

Dear Old Ends,

If its a close game, the turnover factor will be determinative, as noted by you. I
am hoping the Mules can maintain ball seurity as they have during the season, while creating some oportunity  by forcing the other side into a mistake or two.

Time of possession also looms large in my mind in this game, especially entering the 4th quarter.I have seen a couple teams contain the Mule running game in the
first half, but, as the late third and 4th quarter approach, if the TOP has tired the defense, Mules run swell.

crufootball

I have an odd question for the Muhlenberg fans. On your website and in the playoff capsules it says your field has a max capacity of 3000, yet you average over that number. Have yall added seats since that number was posted or do yall have people seating or standing anywhere they can find a piece of ground that can still see the field?

BTEXPRESS

CRU That is a good question. I have been to a few Mulenberg games over the years, but never one where there was standing room only. The Stadium is not that big. I am assuming that the Moravian game is probably the biggest draw every other year. What kind of crowd can be expected for this playoff game??

ock7

The answer to the attendance question is that every college over-inflates their attendance for every home game.

As far as G'gurg getting an ECAC bid over Ursinus, I am guessing that is entirely due to G'burg beating Ursinus head to head.

BTEXPRESS

I did a little research about the ECAC games. Apparently you have to declare that you want a game prior to the end of the season. Even if you are an ECAC member which I think every Centennial conference team is, it doesn't guarantee a game. However, it is then up to the ECAC to pick the teams and then determine who  gets a home game. Usually a 7-3 team (Ursinus) would get offered a game. For whatever reason( maybe Ursinus didn't want a game) the Bears were not selected. Maybe some Bears fans can shed some light on why they did not get the extra game?

muledaddy

BT and Ock,

It's anyones guess howmany willattend the playoff game between Mules and Salisbury.

All attendance inthe league is more than a tad inflated, just like pro baseball.

Mules mustdefend against the option,,,,,,its David v Goliath all over again (Gulls high yadage rushing game)

Home is good,if things stay sensible in the first half. This is THE CENTENNIEL CONFERENCE UNDEFEATED
CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM.WE BOW TO NO MAN.

REST ASSURED THE MULES WILL ACCOUNT THEMSELVES AND THE CONFERENCE WITH  DETERMINATION,COURAGE SKILL, SPORTSMANSHIP......AND  HEART

GOOD LUCK, GODBLESS , ...........GO MULES...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

muledaddy

For BT, Murph and all the Centenniel fans,

We  did you proud on the green field of honor  today. Mules 31, Gulls 21...

Gulls incredible rushing offense (350 yds per game) cut in half by GOOD old fashioned stubborn as a Mule defense. From beginning to end, this was a good football game...tied at 21 with 4 min left after Mules had jumped out to an
early 21-6 lead. We live to play another day. GOODBYE GULLS, GOOD RIDDANCE GULLS...IT DOESNT PAY TO TRY TO INTIMIDATE MULES...WE JUST AREN'T
BUYING......WHOSE NEXT?????  The CC deserves a little respect....and its great to
have the opportunity to earn alittle more next week...ps..i picked the NCW upset
over 1 seed, W and J...did the guru??????????????

Bitmat, I think there should only be 8 games to pick this weekend, You have the Hamden sydney & Wesley game as the 9th game to pick which has already been played.
