BETHEL over UW Eau Claire
UW WHITEWATER over North Central( The boys from CHICAGO go down)

To another Centennial Team, Dickinson, for beating Waynesboro for an ECAC win  for the Conference..

The more the conference wins these games the more respect they will get in the polls for DIV III

Even though I pick against the Muhls this week good luck to the coaches and players this week.

Pat Coleman

Even more for beating Waynesburg. :)

Division I-AA La Salle has discontinued its football program.  The Explorers have played Centennial Conference teams in recent years, including Ursinus this season.

LaSalle sees itself as a D-1 versus a D-III.

Please help me here.  If LaSalle had wanted to move to D-III, in which conference would they have fit?

Who seems to gain the most from transfer players moving up to D-III?

Pat Coleman

I'm not sure how many players at La Salle could play at this level. They were 5-11 against D-III competition the past six seasons.

... or some coaches.

You really should consider letting this go.

In terms of linemen, 275, 260, 240 and 330 for starters that aren't seniors.

I pulled La Salle 2007 roster of the internet.

Freshman ----38
Sophomores--30
Juniors---------19

They do not list where the freshman are from, but overall the team players are mid to South Jersey with a few Maryland and Pa in the mix. Their size is no different from any of the Div III teams that I watch play this year.

BTEXPRESS

I have a friend whose son was a Freshman there this year. The team just found out about it yesterday. Most of the under classmen do plan to transfer to other schools to contunue to play Football. My friend's son was looking at mostly Division III schools as a High School Senior before picking LaSalle. My buddy did say he felt there is some talent who could make an impact on the Division III level.

One of the tough things that the La Salle players may run into is money. A junior even a Sophomore may not, unless an excellent player, get a chance at a grant since the school may have talk to incoming freshmen. They may get a better shot at Div II.

Overall it is sad that these players have to go through this.
