I was going through the Centennial Conference Schedules and i happen to come across an article on Franklin & Marshall's web-site about James Gregory, a VERY, VERY GOOD Linbacker and how disappointed he was about not getting picked up by any NFL Team, this year more than any other year it is so hard to break into the NFL, because this time last year these men had at least 3 other Pro Teams that they could have played for, The Arena League is on hold for a year, why ? who knows, the European League is no more and the Canadian League don't want anymore American players on there team's, so again there's 3 chance's that these men could have gotten the experience to play in other Leagues and made a nice transition over to the NFL. This is my own opinion ( and as everyone knows, opinion's are like Butts, everybody has one ) but there names in Div. 3 have to almost jump off the page to even get looked at.
Hopefully Div.3 Football Players will get recognized sooner than later.

O'Connor and Mitchell are a pretty dynamic combination for the Devils. If they can answer a few question marks on the O and D lines it could be a great season in Carlisle. The week 6 matchup between the Devils and Bluejays could have serious playoff/championship implications. Are either of these teams capable of duplicating what the Mules did in 07 when they finished with a perfect reg. season? This may be the best Dickinson team since the 1994 installation that went undefeated.
Agree, I see the Dickinson vs Hopkins game as being a standing room only, all for the marbles type of game. Both teams have ALL their offensive weapons returning. On paper the Red Devils could be 5-0 going into the game, they will be tested in week two by Hobart and if they can past them it could set up a great game against the Jays.

Greek -

The article you referenced was a tongue-in-cheek response to ESPN's Page 2 mock draft that featured Gregory as a mainstay leading up to the NFL draft.

Hey Pizza, any word or thought's on F & M upgrading their football field and stadium?. Went to a basketball game when the Dips were making their final four run and couldn't believe all the upgrades to the campus and other athletic facilities. The campus really looked nice until you saw how old the football stadium looked.

Eventually all athletic facilities will be across Harrisburg Pike on the old Armstrong plant grounds. Tennis, lax, field hockey, soccer, and swimming are all already over there. New locker room for the Diplomats this year!

Sounds like a great master plan. I know there is plenty of room across the street for expansion. Hopefully with this economy it doesn't take ten years to complete.

Centennial Conference team ever at Salem? PULLLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!  NO TEAM from this conference will ever get past the OAC, the Minnesota conference, the CCIW, the Iowa Conference, or the best from the NCAC (Wabash, Wittenberg, etc.).  Stick with lacrosse which no one cares about past Wooster,Ohio and Field Hockey (BORING!) and other nonner sports CC.  Football in Maryland, and the mid atlantic is LOUSY!

ILLINOIS, Thank you for  sharing your thoughts with us, now you can go back to wherever you came from!

I think that the fact IllinoisCoach has 3 posts and -4 karma tells us all we need to know about him.

Apparently looking at his very first post back in April trashing the CC and McDaniel in particular, maybe a tie or two to the Green Terrier program???? ???

Well, Pizza, based on your tip and some searching on the internet, it didn't take long to figure out who IllinoisCoach is. Let's just say my post  from above is correct! IC why such bitterness? It sounds like you have had a long distinguised coaching career. Why come on this board and trash the entire conference?. The young men playing football for these CC schools are bright, student athletes who are dedicated to their sport. Whatever happened to you over 16 years ago is in the past!

The Plot thickens....Illinois is a former CC coach....wow....bitterness from a bygone day....but why?

It's embarrassing for this coach to be outted like this. Ideally this discussion board is full of parents, fans and players who share their enthusiasm for the student-athletes who play division 3 football. If I were a member of the administration at IC's current school, I'd question the character of the individual coaching my student athletes. Anyone who holds a grudge for 15 years after leaving a school and vents it in this manner is not the best person to sculpt impressionable young people.
