Red Devil - I would be really surprised if the game this weekend with Moravian was a tight one. Moravian has had virtually no offense all year and their defense has been giving up quite a few rushing yards albeit they have been on the field quite a bit this year. I would expect Dickinson to handle this game fairly easily, but their next few games certainly will test them. I agree that this weekend should tell us a little about what to expect, especially the JHU vs Muhlenberg game a good chance to see how strong Hopkins really is.

I will make this prediction right now. The 2009 CC champion will NOT finish the season undefeated like the Mules have done in the past. The conference is much improved going 5 or 6 teams deep. Like others have said G Burg is a dangerous team to play. Right now Dickinson and Hopkins appear to be a step above, but F & M, Muhlenberg and G Burg can and will steal some wins. This year is shaping up to a fun one to watch.

I hope it is not close. I do not think it will be a blow out though.

Hopefully weather doesn't factor into any of the games this weekend. But the beauty of Dickinson's offense is that they just do not rely on the passing game. If it is pouring rain, Mitchell is just as dangerous as a runner. Their three running backs can also get the job done as well, rain or shine.

Good switch on Ursinus game, but did it rain?

coachchris

It did not rain at Ursinus, it was sunny. The final score was Ursinus 55 Gettysburg 50. I have got a question for you, where did you hear Ursinus is struggling? I have been to all their games last year and this year and I do not see it. I will say they lost their running back from last year in the off season. They lost their new number one in the Delaware Valley scrimmage to a broken leg. That is after he popped off a fifty yard run and a ten yard run. They also lost their number two running back to a hamstring after he put up 125 yds last week, their number 3 had over 100 yds today. Maybe you know something I do not? I would love to hear your in put.

Just what I heard from several parents, especially after the second game. After the LVC game, Ursinus had been 3-11 in their last 14 games.
Maybe the Juniata game and Gettysburg game signal a new direction.
The rain comment was in reference to Yen4Ten's posting.

I was just curious maybe you knew something, no biggie. I have watched the cc for three years now and I will be honest with you I don't see a big difference with these teams as far as talent and ability go. Seems to be all the cc teams recruit the same kids. I think allot of the out come of this league is coaching and the ability to get your team to play as a unit? I am not saying there are not outstanding football players in the league there are. I am saying they are spread out through out the league. I would love to hear your input. Thanks

I can pick 4 extra games for the next two weeks or you can pick two extra games for the next four weeks to get caught up. Probably using Susquehnna in those picks because they will be in the CC starting next season. Your choice??
