On paper, this weekend's game between Hopkins and Dickinson should be a dandy. Both teams have high powered offenses. The question for both teams is who can stop the other? If the game is anything like last year's contest ( JHU out to a huge lead, then held on for dear life at the end to hold on for the win) it should live up to the billing. I would expect if the weather is decent ,there will be a standing room only crowd as it is homecoming for the Red Devils. The winner will be in the driver's seat to take the 2009 CC crown.

I wish I was going to be at this game. I think this game is shaping up to be a potentially historic game for the CC. Both teams have some quality wins and Hopkins' lone loss is to Del Val who is a very strong team as well. Picking this game was very difficult and I chose Hopkins but have very little confidence in my pick as I know this game could go either way. I believe Kase will have a big day, and as long as Tomlin avoids mistakes I think Hopkins can pull this one out. However, Dickinson has that kid named Ian Mitchell who can make a game changing play at any moment. This is truly shaping up to be a great one.

This game should be the best match up of the year. I would have trouble picking against Dickinson considering its at home and homecoming. The Red Devils are consistantly good at home especially against good competition. I look for the total of this game to be in the 60's or maybe close to 70's with Dickinson coming out on top in the end. Last years game was very weird. Hopkins scored 30 some points the first half and Dickinson came right back and did the same the second half. Hope it is more of a back and forth game this time. Devils 40 JH 33

Your'e right RedDevil it is a good read, i was at the Hopkins - Muhlenberg game last week and i didn't know that Pat McDonough was a classmate of there's,  McDonough played a good game, and at times he was putting a real hurting on Kase.
But like i always say thats what makes this Conference so Great, players showing respect for each other.

Muledaddy, don't forget your picks. I know you are studying the stats, checking the wins and losses, comparing historical match ups, looking at the weather channel and if all else fails, getting that shiny quarter out of your pocket for a coin toss. Ha Ha

Murphy

So how are you guys doing?  I see my favorite team is doing better.

Here we go again, picks from a crossbreed equine:
1 F and M (Harrison and Eager, just enoguh to shade a fine senior qb)
2 G' burg...because both God and I have not forgotten the last game of last year
3.Muletime......the only birds flying this weekend are in south Philly...
4.Dickinson...35-34.......hometown edge to a fine qb vs a great rb...just for kicks

A blast from the past. I for one miss your banter and insight of all things from JUNIATA LAND. Hope you and your son are doing well. I guess things really haven't changed much in Huningdon, have they????

Murphy

I almost feel sorry for them but like splik said 2 years (tears) ago it's the culture.

How is Mike?

Hopkins played a great game. Dickinson was inside the red zone 4 times and couldn't get it done. Tough day. Not having RB greg Lord and WR Pat O'Connor hurt the Devils a lot more than I thought it would. Hope they recover from their injuries and get back one the field soon. Hopkins should march over the rest of the conference now and probably win the the CC. Dickinson can still finish really well if they run the table and get an at large bid. The season is not over fellas, use this bye week to regroup.
