Sounds like a match up of two teams that run the ball and pride themselves on stopping the run this weekend in. Kentucky.  Anyone in here headed to the game?

To the Bluejays,

Congratulations to a fine coach aand a fine team. The CC is well represented in this year's tourney.
A strong Kase  can be made, with an outstanding defense, that  Thomas More will need more than a prayer
if they want to stop the Jays. Nice, poised qb, nice receivers, make the Jays ready to fly on too the next round, one game at a time.Crowley crows, and properly so.Nice work, boys. GOOD DEFENSE AND SUPERIOR POUNDING PREVAILS.

Congratulations to Johns Hopkins on a well played game yesterday.  Good luck next week and the rest of the tournament.  I want to compliment all the players for playing hard and with good sportsmanship.  The Blue Jays earned the win.

Thomas More (no St) has the #2 ranked rush defense in the country.. Sounds like it will be a battle of wills on Saturday and not the case where prayers will be needed. It will take 2-3 series to get used to the speed on both sides of the ball that TMC has.  Been the case all 11 games.. After that, a battle of wills..as I don't see either getting away from their gameplan.  Playoff team Mount St Joe came into their game with TMC averaging nearly 200 per game on the ground and ended up with .3 yards a carry.

JHU and TMC will have to throw efficiently while staying after the run game to win this one.

Is anyone making the trip?

Just curious if anyone had thoughts on the All-CC team. I was particularly impressed that a few under classmen made first team defense. 2 sophomores and a freshman. That in my mind is a pretty impressive accomplishment. It would be hard to argue against any of the skill positions on Offense, although I was extremely impressed with John Harrison's numbers from F&M at QB. Mitchell absolutely is deserving for how good he has been for his entire career at Dickinson.

CCFan, I agree, with most all conference teams be it College or even High School the upper classmen tend to get the nod. The CC has been fortunate to have a nice crop of QB's over the last four or five years and there have been many deserving choices. If you play offense, it is pretty easy to judge one's season just by looking at the stats for the skill positions. However, if you play defense, a player's stats don't tell the whole story. For example, the best Defensive Backs might not get the most interceptions or tackles because teams tend to shy away from those players with their offensive game plans. If you are a linebacker on a bad team, you might have more tackles stastically than a linebacker on a good team who has help. So for two Sophomores and a Freshman to make all CC is a great accomplishment.

I am truly hoping that Hopkins can win this weekend (even though I didn't pick them). Does anybody know if a CC team has ever made it through the second round? It would be a great breakthrough if JHU were able to get into the third round and it would certainly earn our conference some more respect. Good Luck this weekend to Hopkins. Keep making the CC proud!
