Unfortunately that's just how it seems to go these days.

Agree, as much as I would like to see the underdogs win, I just don't see it this year. Going with Mount Union and UWW as my picks. Very interested to see if Wesley can keep it close.( No other team has so far this year) Although both teams have earned it, it makes it almost impossible for the underdogs to have to travel on the road every year in the Semi Finals. Distinct advantage for Mt Union and UWW.

My picks,

Mount Union
Whitewater

I would like nothing more than to see a final of Linfield vs Wesley.   Linfield may even have a chance.  However, thay don't get my pick.

Kudos to the Hopkins defense on holding Wesley to 12 points!

To Johns Hopkins,

Congratulations on an unprecedented showing for the CC in the playoffs.Who knows, a better bounce

or two on a nasty rainy day and you were in the final four. Your coaching, team play, and toough defense

were admirable. Holding Wesley to 12 points on a rainy/sleet filled afternoon "down in the ditch" was

no small accomplishment. Kase, Tomlin, Lachman , and the entire team will not be forgotten by this Mule.

Reccomend a small change to your post, old ends :)

Eager really did well out of the gate, though as I tried to watch lots of other players, I didn't see if he kept up that level of play the whole game. Players were getting rotated in and out a lot to make sure everyone saw time on the field.

Mitchell played pretty hard-nosed, and even came back to the game after being helped off the field with an injury.

I'll confess that I didn't keep great tabs on how well Flynn played. :(

2.7 seconds. An average football player may need more time to score; a great one finds a way. I've seen greatness happen.

Please vote for John Troxell for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year: http://www.coachoftheyear.com/

Besides national exposure for one of the nation's best conference's, a win for Troxell would be a victory for Lauren's First and Goal Foundation - http://www.laurensfirstandgoal.org/ - both in the fiscal sense and in exposure for the cause. Trox is on the foundation's board, and many of the Centennial's coaches volunteer for the foundation's camps.

Please vote once a day between Tuesday, December 15th and Tuesday, December 29th!

If anyone ever wants to send story ideas my way, this is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for. I would have loved to have heard about this before now. :)
