CBE

McDaniel over G-burg 36-30 in 3OT

muledaddy

mules 27 bears 20....but it  really wasn't that close...mules  mistakesutomatic  handed  a td to bears...mules missed a chip shot field goal and an extra point...mules defense getting better ,,,offense a little sloppy...points on the table....AQ to Irish Mike Donnelly and his young, but every improving team...a potential minidynasty(for next year or two....if tDhey can only keep their heads right sized.........coach donnelly knows how to produce
winning teams..........

Mules...congrats. the undisputed CC conference championship at Houndtown is waiting next week...close the
deal......many thanks to the many players and parents from  the champs of the century (2007-2008) for
coming out.....and for their kind words....Muletown still is a special little place...where dreams can come true

wesleydad

muledaddy, sorry i didnt find you today.  nice win by the mules and a return to the playoffs.  the end of the first half was not pretty.  the mules will be hurt by their inability to get a true punt off in the playoffs.  gritty qb and rb.  defense plays good position football.  if they can win game one, they will likely be making a trip to wesley in round 2.  good luck next week and in the playoffs.

muledaddy

we

sorry we missed one another...got ugly at end of the half ... much like our wesley game  hail mary on a really

strange time clock...the mules  are growng...game by game...steadily... defense by Donnelly is good...

multiple key defenders out with injuries (including leading tackler LB McDonough) but team should be physically ok by playoffs...1st punter out with an acl....(we know what that's like)...hopefully we can fix the kicking game in the next week or two....soph qb and tb duo will be heard from this year and next and next....hopefully, we win one and take a  ride down to Dover.......I owe you a beverageain of your choice..d3 is alive and exciting..again

Picks Summary:

First off, Congratulations to the Mules on locking up the AQ this weekend. I don't think many (if any) would have expected the Mules to be representing the CC in the playoffs at the beginning of the year. They have gotten solid play out of some young offensive players and have put together a strong defense as usual over there in Allentown.

Ccfan27 - 35-15 .700 win pct
Muledaddy - 36-13 .735 win pct
69mule - 36-14 .720 win pct
Oldends - 16-10 .615 win pct
GoHop - 25-9 .735 win pct
Reserved Seat - 24-9 .727 win pct

Did not submit picks this week
Bubdad 19-16 .543 win pct
Wearinthered 17-7 .708 win pct

Didn't see or listen to any games this weekend, if anyone has any insight on the games over the weekend that is always appreciated. I am truly impressed with the job Donnelly continues to do over at Muhlenberg. They truly do not stay down for long. They lost a ton of talent from 2008 squad and many were 3 and 4 year starters, so the down 2009 was at least expected. For them to win the conference so quickly after that great run they had is really a feather in the cap of Coach Donnelly. Hopefully my Hounds can give them another loss next weekend in Bethlehem, but good luck to them in the playoffs regardless.

GoHop,

Just curious why you think McDaniel may be the best team in the conference at the moment. They've lost 3 of their last 4 games and and needed 3 OTs to beat Gettysburg who is also in the middle of the pack. Their only win by a substantial margin was against Susquehanna who has been quite bad this season.

69mule

CC, Methinks GoHop had a typo in his post.  He meant Moravian might be the best tam inthe CC) as he picked Hopkins to beat McDaniel.

The Hounds are playing as well as anybody.  We'll see if the bye week took away some of their momentum.  They always play their biggest rival, the Mules, very tough even when they are having an off year.  The Mules better get good and cranky over previous losses to Moravian if they want to take some swagger into the playoffs.

Go Mules!

GoHop

CCfan27,

Sorry, brain-fart on my part. I meant Moravian over the Mules and that Moravian is possibly the best team at the moment. Moravian is a different team since they put in the new QB. Your observations about McDaniel are all correct. I picked Hopkins over McDaniel already. I should proof read before I post.
