g38,

You better be careful straddling that fence, because if you slip, there go the family jewells.

youcantwin22

Just want to wish everyone a good game today.  Hope the CC puts up a good showing all around.  Looks like there are going to be some good matchups this weekend.  Can't wait to check out all the results.
...And for everyone heading to Westminster today, should be a great day for cooking out on the hill - Go Green Terror!

youcantwin22,

what a fitting name for a Mule Fan....

frankbailey

mules maybe next time.......that defense was not as good as u guys thought huh.

youcantwin22

fran,
mules d is still as good as we thought and you will see that as the season continues. just so happens that union's offense extremely talented and i would say possibly one of the best in all of d3. it was a great game and just by the numbers that union put up doesnt mean that the mules d didnt play them tough.  they did force several turnovers in key points in the game and also had some huge defensive stops, but no excuses a loss is a loss.  good luck to union the rest of the way.

e8fan,
good comeback
hey bro it says u posted that at 10pm last night and a few more throughout the nigt.  what are u doing  sitting in front of your computer posting in post patterns on a saturday night.  get a life man go out and get laid or something.  cant wait to see how your saxons do against union.

badbadman

Union put up 453 yards on Muhlenberg in Allentown.  TCNJ is an average team that just had a very bad day.  Maybe the Mules will improve, but it appears they really miss Peer, Walker and Della Pella.

I'm 35 w/ two kids....yeah im going to go out and party it up.

Saxons dont play Union...think before you speak.

Enjoy the loss Mule fans...but at least you'll have that precious "one of the best defenses in D-3" label.  Your D is vastly over-rated because of the offensive challenged conference you play in, seriously get some skill players or something.

you are correct saxons dont play union i was looking at the st. lawrence schedule.

as for the loss.......you win some you lose some as a saxons fan you should know what it feels like to lose

as for the conference ....they just play whos on their schedule.... so i will continue to label them "one of the best defenses in d3"

if your 35 you need to come to grips with the fact that your glory days are over....so take off your varsity jacket put it in the attic where it belongs.........its ok you can let it go.........

ycw22,

Just for the record, my prediction was Union by 1 on the LL board.

Very tough game in Allentown on Saturday night.  For the record, I would not underestimate the Mules "D" even though Union put up 453 yards and gave up "0" sacks on the night.

Union's O-Line has 4 seniors, 3 of which are starting for the 3rd year and 1 for the 4th year and they are very good.  Combine that with some of the best skill position players in the East and Union has an offense that can move the ball aganst anyone.

youcantwin22

tlm,
well your prediction was accurate than congrats.
it was a very tough game and i appreciate you agreeing with me that the mules d should not be underestimated.  just like i mentioned before unions offense could be one of the best i have seen in all of d3.

WR22:

Simply put is turnovers. Once again F&M's turnovers play a huge part in the outcome of the game.  1 interception and 2 fumbles resulted in 21 pt for the Statesmen.  Never going to win games like that.

The loss of WR Wagner is a big loss to fill and so far noone has stepped up into the number 3 position.  However, they Dips will be fine.  A lot of young kids playing on the 2nd units of both O and D.  Should be an interesting and must win game for them this weekend versus CMU.

Amish:

Agreed turnovers hurt, however after seeing the game, there are more concerns than just turnovers.

Losing Wagner definitely hurts, however the top two receivers only had two catches.  Tight end only had one ball thrown to him.  Q-back hurried or sacked on almost 40% of the pass plays, etc., etc.

Amish Allstar

Yes, there are more concerns however i really believe that turnovers are what is killing this team right now.  They are unable to sustain any long drives. Well say that from two games F&m has had 26 possessions.  14 punts and nine turnovers and only 3 TDs.

i think another problem right now is the lack of third down conversions. Just looked at the stats and saw that they are 4/30.  They were 0-13 against Hobart. Again, not that long drives mean a win but it does give you a better chance of winning (field position, opportunities to score, etc).

Again, though i think this team will turn it around.  Going to be a tough week against CMU but they are playing home after two very long road trips and should be excited.
