Amish:

Agreed that you have to sustain drives.  I meant to note in the previous message that I thought the defense did a good job, considering the amount of time they were on the field, due to lack of sustained drives, turnovers, etc.
Although they were burnt for a TD on a "trick" play (which happened the first game too), and a "not using your head" penalty led to another TD.

Not sure if everyone saw but Matt Sheridan a DB from Moravian College is up for USA Today Player of the Week.  The link to vote is at the home page.  Everyone who supports d3football lend a hand and vote.  Not sure if a d3 player has ever won before.

Anyone know Brod Maybank's status???  I read he left Saturday's game with a knee injury, but that's all I heard.

Also, the Around the Region column said "With senior quarterback Brad Baer out with a broken collarbone since the second half of the Bridgewater game".  Broken collar bones are very painful and take a while to heal.

I hope Baer can play later in the season.  Best wishes to all those players with injuries to get well soon.

I don't have any confirmed info, I wasn't at the game, but I think Brod Maybank came back into the game by the end, and I don't know if the article is correct (it could be, again I don't know any of this for sure) but I think Brad has a shoulder injury not a collar bone injury.  Last I had heard he should be back in the next game or two.  I may just be a hopeful terror fan, but this is what I had been told.

Rather than guessing, you could try the box score.

Maybank's last mention in the play-by-play is the first play of the fourth quarter.

Pat Cummings acts like F&M is the first team to start a season 0-2 who was picked to finish first.  I believe Muhlenberg started out last year 0-2 and he didnt write them off.  Just seems like Pat has a thing out for F&M.

TerrorFan

Hey everybody, new to the board.

Despite the opening 2 weeks, no team has played a conference game. F & M has just as much of a shot as anyone.

But with that said, are they still the favorite?

I believe you're just making stuff up. Muhlenberg started 2-0 last year.

Couple items...

Broderick Maybank hurt his knee on a touchdown he scored in the second half, came back, and was "ineffective" - so said the beat reporter for the Carroll County Times.

F&M lost handily to Bethany, who lost to equally lowly Defiance.  F&M layed a goose egg at Hobart.  I clearly said in the column that F&M hasn't blown it given that the CC hasn't started.  But if they don't win the CC, and end up 7-3...forget it.

Really look at that Bethany box score...that was a horrific loss.

Pat has been fair, if not a supporter, in regards to F&M.  Any criticism they received so far this season they deserved based on their play.  Their on the field performance has been surprisingly poor.

Right now they better focus on a decent CMU team that dominated them last year 31-14.  CMU has a very good defense and a decent running game.  My picks for the week:

CMU 24 F&M 14
Muhlenberg 27 Grove City 10

It was my mistake in the year muhlenberg started off 0-2.  It was 2003 not 2004.

McDaniel is tough to spell, however I remember how it was when I had my first beer.
