yeah reb must be from the ODAC, but it's cool McDaniel did rather well against a certain ODAC team this year, but we wont bring that back up. :D

Congrats to F&M LB Chris Stepien for being selected to the AFCA Good Works Team.  Only 10 other players were selected throughout DII, DIII, and NAIA.

From what i understand, Chris does a lot of work(tutoring) with an elementary school in Lancaster City.  it is nice to see his efforts being recognized.

Jim Sanders from Johns Hopkins was named to that team as well.  Out of 11 players on the team from Divisions 1-AA, II, III and NAIA combined, 2 were from the Centennial Conference.  That speaks volumes as to the type of student-athletes that can be found in the Centennial.  Congrats to both players as well as the conference.

First shutout for the Dips in a LONG time.

Amish:
Although only 6 points, it was a 100% turnaround from last week.  O-line really stepped it up.  Put the offense in position where there could easily have been more points. It will come.
Defense did a great job against the wing-t.
Was surprised at Mellon's lack of passing attack.

CMU gives up five field goals to two CC teams over two weeks and emerges 0-2.

That's because the Tartans only manged 2 field goals in those games.   ???

And how about giving some credit to those Centennial defenses, especially Hopkins?  13 points in 3 games.  Granted, they didn't play any offensive powerhouses, but still impressive.  The 2005 JHU defense may be on par with the 2003 one which was pretty darn good.

Even though both squads were on bye week and McDaniel beat BC on the road.
Pat Coleman said it was because McDaniel had a QB injury. How do you fans feel about this issue?
As a BC fan I can see that an injury would hurt a teams ranking but what do you all think?

Pat Coleman

Is the McDaniel team that took the field last time out the same one that played Week 1 at Bridgewater? No, so since it's a ranking of what teams are doing right now, it has to reflect that.

If they get their key components back and those players perform on the same level as before, McDaniel will move back up on my ballot, and I expect others' as well.

I can certainly understand that the QB spot is very important and it is good to have a tiebreaker that puts HSC at #22 even though HSC and BC have the same number of voting points (that tie will be broken this Sat. one way or another).
If I were a McDaniel fan I could say that BC has been without 2 starting O Linemen and that the BC D misses it's top tackler from 2004 who is out for the year.
It is certainly not that big of an issue at this point in the year but it is interesting to talk about.
It was a great week of football in D3 and I will not ruin it by mentioning this top 25 anymore. I just wanted some other opinions.

Pat Coleman

That linebacker situation isn't going to change, however. He didn't play in Week 1 and he isn't going to play in Week 11. In fact, he missed most of the preseason, if I remember correctly.

Bridgewater's stats say you started four of the same five offensive linemen against McDaniel as you did the rest of the season. And call me crazy, but offensive line wasn't the reason you lost that game.

That's not at all the same thing as what happened to McDaniel.
