Personally, I think injuries should be a part of the ranking methodology when they will effect a teams play over the next few weeks.  D3 rankings are fun to look at, but after the top 10, rarely meaningful at this point in the season.

They are much more meaningful in November.

I was just comming here to post about BC passing McDaniel in the poll. Because the Terror are more of a ground and defense team rather than a powerhouse passing attack, I think the change in the poll is due to McDaniel almost loosing to a weak Catholic team, and BC blowing out an up and comming Shenandoah program. But as Conference play begins, we all know you can throw the records out the window...

With that said, I still think the terror should be ahead of BC  >:(

After 4 weeks:

AA: 15 -7 (1-2 last week)
Badbadman: 14-8 (1-2)
Mandfense: 14-8 (1-2)
Youcant: 6-8 (dnp)

THis week:

Dickinson 14 JHU 17: Ben Scott wins another one for the Jays

F&M 24 Muhlenberg 13: Offense scores a TD for the first time since Bethany.

Ursinus: 10 McDaniel 30: Good win last week for Ursinus but Lasalle isnt a strong program.

Any thoughts?

Would like the outcome on the F&M vs. Muhlenberg game to be as you predicted, however I think the score is going to be much lower, say 14-7 or 10-7.
I think special teams play is going to be a big factor in the outcome of the game.

I agree.  Muhlenbergs defense the past couple of years as been traditionally very tough to run against.  However, i do not think that they are as good as last years team. No disrespect to this years team but i think the people who replaced Walker, Peer at OLB and Della Penna at NG are still trying to get comfortable.  Last years D against the run was incredible. I do like what they have done in moving McCall, one of the best defenders in the conference to OLB. With that being said field position and special teams is going to be key especially the punt game.

I also feel though that the F&M Offense will wake up from its little drought and score some points.  They were very close last week had it not been a ball throw slightly out of the reach of the receivers hands and Harner being tripped with first and goal from the 2.  Totally different game if those TDs are scored.

And one that was dropped in the end zone.
Would really like to see the play callers use the tight end more, which would open it up for the other receivers.

Dips v. Mules is going to be a real good game.  It will be close and low scoring.  Hopefully, the Dips will pull it out.  There should be real good crowd since it is Homecoming.

F&M needs to establish a better ground game.  I'm not sure that Muhl is the defense that any team will establish a ground game against, but they need to get something going on the ground.  Once the ground game gets going, receivers suddenly seem more open....

Go Dips!

What does McDaniel have to do to catch a break, or even be noticed?  I mean do road wins against ranked Bridgewater and against the Pitt leftovers, a very physically strong and well organized Seton Hill, along with keeping it together to beat a much improved catholic not count for anything more than losing a spot in the rankings and not being mentioned in around the nation, along with all the other unbeaten teams?  Oh well, I guess not.  That's fine, the Terror will just take 'em on one game at a time and get the job done.  Congrats to the Terror team on a season well played so far, keep up the good work you are making us proud.
Also thanks for getting upset last time I offered my comments after the game about some of the injured players, too bad I was right!  Maybe terror fans do know something about their team, but that's fine I'll just leave you all to wonder and believe misprints from now on.
Good luck to all the CC teams this weekend, hope you all have a safe game, and are ready to begin conference play.  Can't wait to see the results.

Ya know, what counts is where you sit at the end of the year.  Win your games and do well in the playoffs, then you'll be noticed.  Until then, you will have the luxury of being "overlooked" by your opponents.  What could be better?

mandfense

Johns Hopkins 20  Dickinson 6
Franklin & Marshall 17 Muhlenberg 13
Ursinus 27 McDaniel 24 (Upset Special)

badbadman

Johns Hopkins over  Dickinson by 7 (DC is tough at home)
Muhlenberg over F&M by 3 (maybe I'm living in the past)
McDaniel over Ursinus by 10 (could be closer with all the Terror injuries - even thought about picking UC as an upset until mand beat me to it)

Going to 2OT with a team who hadn't won in 13 games, and beating a first year program by only 19.. doesn't earn you much respect. People are always going to think of the bad before the good (beating BC on the road) when it comes to rankings. im not worried, conference play begins tommorow, and as 3-0 goes to 4-0.. 4-0 goes to 5-0... so on.. people will than take notice. i'm not worried about the rankings.. time will prove itself.. and if the terror aren't what they seem to be now, time will prove that as well.

Go Terror!

Didn't get a chance to listen to the game today.  How was the QB play for McDaniel?  Who played?

Looks like F&M misses Stevens #22, and the other QB #7, both who graduated more than they imagine

F&M won the game 15-9 and thats all that matters.  Muhlenberg is missing their defensive core (Peer, Walker & Della Pella) since they gave up about 200 more yeards to F&M in 2005 than they did in 2004.  BTW: I was living in the past picking 1-3 Muhlenberg who doesn't seem the same team as they were in years past.
