Matt Torchia ran for one touchdown and threw for another to lead Dickinson to a 24-17 victory at McDaniel.  It is the first win for the Red Devils (5-1, 3-0 CC) at Westminster since 1994.

Torchia completed 16 of 24 passes for 157 yards, including a 21-yard TD pass to Michael D'Amico, while also running for a 6-yard score which broke a 10-all tie in the third period.  D'Amico ran for 107 yards on 21 carries, while Chris McInerney caught five passes for 89 yards, including a 27-yard TD pass from Ian Mitchell.

Brad Baer completed 13 of 31 passes for 129 yards and two scores to Matt Gingrich, covering 14 and nine yards, for the Green Terror (2-3, 1-2 CC).

Muhlenberg knocked Ursinus from the unbeaten ranks with a 22-6 win over the Bears at Scotty Wood Stadium.  The Mules capitalized on five UC turnovers, converting them into 12 points.

Muhlenberg jumped out to a 16-0 lead after the first 15 minutes.  Eric Santagato opened the scoring just 1:22 into the contest on a 1-yard TD run following an interception by Tom Tarsitano.  The Mules made it 13-0 after a nine-play, 65-yard drive, capped by a three-yard run by Matt Johnson.  Jordon Grube booted a  30-yard field goal to make it 16-0.

Ursinus got on the board midway through the second period on a 71-yard scoring jaunt by David Ashworth to make it 16-6.  The Mules got the final points just three minutes later when Joel Haddock blocked a punt and recovered it in the end zone for the final margin of victory.

Johnson carried 25 times for 100 yards for the Mules, while Santagato completed 14 of 24 passes for 149 yards.  Ursinus, who had only surrendered 19 points in the previous five games, got 210 passing yards from QB Ted Wallingford on 15 completions on 44 attempts.

Ursinus lost to Muhlenberg? Would've guessed it would've been an easy win for them. Well, that shows you how good this conference is from top to bottom. No one has fewer than 2 wins, and enyone's capable to putting up a fight.

Where in Ursinus's history this season have we seen an easy win come from?  Albright?  Muhlenberg beat TCNJ and TCNJ gave Rowan a close game.  The Mules are a surprise to be playing as well as they have with such youth.

More on Ursinus's loss - and the accusations of bias from the UC fans, to me - in this week's Around the Region column.

I don't think McDaniel should be worried about losing another conference game....WHAT they should be worried about is the NCAA making them change their nickname...in lieu of recent events (i think u know) Terror is not exactly the most PC name for a D3 football team.... Look what happened to McMurry...

The McDaniel......football team...ready to kick off------only time will tell :o

XTerror22

another thing....Ursinus is solid this year...whenever a team is solid in the Centennial Conference (the Ivy League of D3 to some folks) Muhlenberg has their number (so to speak)  Look at Hopkins...past few years the smart bastards rolled through the conference til they played muhlenberg... then the terror would roll to allentown, smack the snot out of a decent mules team and then **** the bed against hopkins........thats how the centennial conference goes...thank GOD theres some new life this year

i kno im new here but ive been keepin an eye on the CC for the past 2 years and i was wonderin if anyone has ever heard of senior WRs C. Turner and Matt Gingrich for McDaniel. as ive looked at McDaniel's stats, otha than Baer, they seem to be the only offensive production. where did they come from and why weren't they part of the offense the last three years ??? even more so, why aren't they part of the offense more now?

Classic pattern post of someone who has inside knowledge or emotional ties to the situation.
