Looking at this week's schedule it appears to be three good match ups, sorry Murph I don't think Juniata wins this week. I need to really think about these games before I make my weekly picks. I do have a question, does anyone think Mulenberg has a hugh advantage playing on their home field with the OLDER STYLE turf.? Most teams don't play on that kind of surface.

splik

I do not think the turf could that big of an advantage.  If you're good at football you should be able to play on cement if you have to.

WR#1

The Mules definately have an increased home advantage on the pool table.  Its very difficult to play on that surface if you are not used to playing on a parking lot.  There is no give and it just asks for someone to incur a season ending injury.  I do agree if your a good team you "find a way to win" so to speak but Muhlenburgs field or lack there of is an advantage.

BTEXPRESS

I know that if you are use to playing on Grass like Dickinson does, moving to a Field Turf field( i.e.Gettysburg, McDaniel, Hopkins etc) doesn't make much of a difference, however, if you only play on Mulenberg's field every other year, I would think the Mules would have an advantage. How much, who knows? but there is a slight advantage.

morGhounds

playing on muhlenbergs field pretty much sucks, and i think once you step on the field for warm ups you get the mindset that it sucks....it is different, and you find this when you try to make a cut that you can usually make with cleats on, but not w/ turf shoes/sneakers..

morGhounds

deffinitley not a reason to blame for losing there though

WR#1

YOUR RIGHT.  CANT USE THE SURFACE AS AN EXCUSE.  BUT IT BLOWS AND THATS TEH END OF STORY

BTEXPRESS

Here are my picks for this week. In all honesty, I don't have a clue on three out of the 4 games being played this week. I am going to try and catch a game this weekend(probably Mulenberg & Dickinson)

MULENBERG over Dickinson in a tight one
URSINUS over Moravian (really not sure on this one)
F&M over McDaniel ( someone has to win this game)
HOPKINS over Juniata(The season gets longer for Juniatia)

splik

they may be winless for their entire conference existence, but the name is Juniata, not Juniatia.  And since you (plural) are likely to mess it up if you are ever compelled to talk about it, Juniata is in HuntingDon (not Huntington), PA Huntingdon County not Juniata County, and it's nowhere near Juniata Park which is outside Philadelphia.
Why you would feel the need to discuss either of those latter three items is beyond me.   :P

Pat Coleman

Alright, take it easy. He spelled it right the first time and made a typo later in the same line. Not worth the reaction.

Splik   What gives??? It was an honest typo. Believe it or not I have been to Huntingdon and have seen JUNIATA. Pat, Thanks for coming to my defense. Hey Splik, if it makes you feel any better, deep down I am rooting for the Eagles! No team should have to go through a season without a win at any level. These kids work to hard going to school, practicing and playing without getting any type of reward.

morGhounds

ha, seriously, i didn't know when i signed up that typo's were reason for calling people out.....anyway, what are your guys thoughts on playoffs in the centennial...does anyone think that more than one team has a chance to make playoffs because so many teams having such close records.  Also if it would come down to a tie-breaker somehow, does anyone know how they go about doing that? like is it based off of points for or against?
