Foot Fan-

Please don't soil the post-forum with your illegitimate, incoherent rambling if you aren't going to say anything.  We are now all dumber for reading your post.

Lets stop talking about Juniata and McDaniel and start talking about the teams that can continue playing after this weekend like Muhlenberg, Ursinus, Dickonson, Gettysburg.

You can talk about them if you like but you can't tell people what they can talk about, especially with your grand total of what, two lifetime posts?

GO HOUNDS!   although muhlenberg has quite a team this year, I think this will be a great rivalry game

You folks have been busy. If you are stuck inside in the rain today, you can watch one of the Centennial's oldest rivalries unfold for the 93rd time when Gettysburg travels to F&M.

GT - this has to be a smart kid football conference, when I looked at the MAC board they never used big words like 'ignorance'.  I do not know if it's the smartest conference, but it's probably up there.  ESPN had College Gameday at a school that claims to be in the most academic oriented conference.

Terrorizer - I looked at Westminster on mapquest and it did not seem too far from Baltimore, but I do not know where central Maryland starts.  I lived in PA, about 90 minutes from NJ, and called that central PA.

How far can Muhlenberg go in the playoffs?

Depends on the seeding?

In the East? Maybe the Second Round.

In the South, much, much tougher seeding!  :)

McDaniel (aka Western Maryland) is not situated in western Maryland. In fact, it is, indeed, closer to Baltimore than the western portions of Maryland. It was originally named so because of the late, great Western Maryland Railroad that ran through Westminster, Maryland. {Here ends the trivia lesson ....}

Yo Splik,

GO MULES..having just gotten in from the post game tailgate, following 35-7
tough game with Moravian (the game was much closer than the score, which was 21-7 as 3rd qtr was ending), it is a magic moment...107 yrs without an undefeated season has come to an end....Congrats to all, the team, the Coaches, the athletic director (47 yrs in higher ed..a player, a teacher, a coach...Mr Sam..and Irish Mike Donnelly,(who scheduled heart surgery around Spring and Summer camps/practice)

let's see how the draw goes on Sunday  morning....WHO'S NEXT?????????

mandfense

Not a terrible draw for Muhlenberg.  Good luck Mules!  Represent the conference well.

old ends

GOOD LUCK  To Muhlenberg.

Salisbury should be a game for Muhlenberg at home.
Has there been any word if any of the Conference teams made ECAC? I went on the web site and no team anoucement as of yet.

I went to the Dickinson - Ursinus game yesterday and the QB for Dickinson - Mitchell went down in the third Quarter with a shoulder injury. I hope that it was nothing serious. Mitchell is very quick and no wonder he was leading in total offense.

On the Ursinus side, I mention back in September that I caught a practice game between Del Val and Ursinus and made mention about the line for Ursinus. Their Center--Rinkus (60) is bigger and faster then I thought. He put a few of the Dickinson Players on their back with his hits. His arms are bigger then this old man legs. I was impressed with this kid's performance on a losing cause. ursinus defense just did not show up and Mitchell was running right past them.

Born Power Index has Salisbury St. as a 3.1 favorite.

But that doesn't take in to account that they have to play on the road.  Which I think is good for 3 points so I see this game as even.

ROOT for the Mules to uphold the Centennial Conference pride.

While I'm at it how about a bunch of applause for the kids at Gallaudet making their first appearance in D-III in a long time.

How tough can it be for those kids to play football under the conditions they have been born with?

I did not see the game but I understand a young man from Gallaudet was hurt pretty seriously at the end of the game and had to be taken from the field in a neck brace.

That is a tough enough situtation with hearing athletes, how do you communicate with a person that has to communicate with his hands when he can't move them.  I understand that this person is OK although I'm not 100% about his condition.

Well kudos to the men who coach Gallaudet and to the valent players who must love the game to put up with what they have to go through to play football.

It's kind of humbling.

I was at the Juniata/Galludet game this weekend.  It was a good game.  The players from Galludet are extremely athletic and certainly came to play.  When the player from Galludet went down and the paramedics were called onto the field everyone felt their hearts sink.  As everyone in the stands looked on and hoped for the best the Juniata players gathered as a team, took a knee, and began to pray.  This brought a tear to my eye.

Say what you want about Juniata and their record, but to me they showed their true character on Saturday at that very moment.

BTEXPRESS

Bitmat & Old Ends, it was a fun race. Congratultions to the Eagles on their first win.Let's root for the Mules to make a run in the playoffs! Does anyone know if any Centennial teams received an ECAC bid?
