Looking forward to the Salisbury/Muhlenburg game this weekend.  It was good to see that Salisbury passing game went 5-6 for 179 yards and two touchdown and showed another side of the Gulls for the Mules to prepare for.  Granted the last Salisbury win was against Frostburg.

It should also be an interesting matchup between the Mules defernse, and the Gulls option offense.

Waynesburg at Dickinson and Gettysburg at Carnegie Mellon.

The ECAC games are always interesting. I guess it all depends on the current state of your program. For a team like Dickinson who made the big dance last season and just missed out this year(8-2) IT MIGHT NOT MEAN VERY MUCH, However for a team on the upswing(like G BURG) they might  love having their season extended another week. I was at the Dickinson vs Ursinus game on Saturday and saw their great QB Ian Mitchell went out with what appeared to be an injured shoulder in the second half and never returned to the sidelines. Does anyone have any information on how he is doing???

BTEXPRESS

After thinking about it, why didn't Ursinus get an ECAC game? They finished the season at 7-3 which was better than Gettysburg's 6-4 record.

The 2007 All-Centennial Conference football team has been released and Gettysburg RB Tom Sturges and Dickinson LB Eric Dube have been selected as the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year, respectively.  Muhlenberg placed nine players on the first team, including six on the defensive side of the ball.  Three players - Sturges, Muhlenberg's Chris Musselman and Ursinus' Ryan VanWright - were unanimous selections.  The complete team: http://www.centennial.org/football/2007/All_CC_FB.pdf

Commish,

Thanks for the link to the all conference team.It was nice to see the Mules well represented , as well as the other outstanding players in the greatest little conference on the planet....Now for the new season....Mules over Salisbury (defense beats offense); Mary Hardin over Trinity: Wesley over H-S; and NC
Wesleyan upsets Wash and Jeff...GO MULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CC12

mitchell shattered his collarbone after running for 130 yards in 2 and  a half quarters. he had surgery to put in a metal plate and pins but will be back in action by new years. word has it that many were upset about his not recieving a 1st team selection or player of the year. also broke school school record for total offense in one season in 9 1/2 games compared to torchia's 11 games...impressive for sophmore.

Don't sell the Salisbury D short. Before the Wesley game they were giving up only 71 yrds per game on the ground. And they did manage to run for 285 against aWesley d that was only giving up 79 yrds per game on the ground.
I know the Mules are good , I follow a lot of football in Pa. but don't be shocked when the Gulls start moving the ball. The Mule will have to score some points  to win...
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

BTEXPRESS -- My hat is of to you and I hope you do as well in Vegas as you did on the weekly poll.

Picks--Muhlenberg ( Homer pick--Could be chilly on that hard pan field)
          Mary Hardin Baylor
          Washington & Jefferson
          Wesley

I was sorry to hear about Mitchell. His dive for extra yards and the landing, look painfull from where I was standing.

Congrats to the players who made All- Conference. It is picked by the coaches who watched many a game film and then saw them in action against and for their team.

BITMAP...Why not post a poll for the ECAC.  Good luck to Dickinson and Gettysburg may you meet again.
BTEXPRESS the only two reasons I could think of is they lost to both of the above in conference play, and they wanted a home game.

Murph, If I knew how to give you some KARMA, I would with all that you went through this season. Now that i think about it, I don't have much KARMA either. Winning the PICK UM contest should give me a little more karma.
