Interesting article. Some of the things the new generation of D3 athletes have to worry about

greekgeek, here is something else to consider. Click below and read. This is something to also consider.

http://www.d3football.com/strength-of-schedule/2008

It boils down to this, as Muhlenberg wins, and the teams they have beaten keep losing, within the Conference and region. It is why the Centennial Conference only gets an AQ.  Just not strong enough yet.

Old,
the problem with polls is that sometimes they are based on inaccurate assumptions, I believe.
For example, if the centenniel teams have improed to the point that any team can, and does, beat any other team, on any given, Saturday, there are more losses on the part of the Mules opponents than
there are on the part of other teams, like Cortland State.See the discussion of this issue in the Libeerty League  board today. In reality, Mules played more talented teams but, because those teams have been good enough to upset one another, as has reapeatedly been the case this year, Mules are
viewed as being equal or weaker than Cortland. Ha-ha...only time, real hard effort, and winning will,
hopefully, ultimately, get the whatever respect they MUST EARN....offense is ready..pass defense must improve..step it up boys..GO MULES !!!!!

  Greek,
I believe the Mules will get as much attention as they earn on the national scene, if

they just take 1 game at a time, each week ,practicing like they are going to play their last game ever if

they lose, and play harder every Saturday from now until its over.........If they want to play in December, they must play in October like its November, etc,etc,etc..welcome back  after your week off..

McDaniel has hit rock bottom.  The coach has lost his team and everyone should consider the program a lost cause until they fire Coach Keating.  Below is a quote from Coach Keating taken directly from the Carroll County Times...

"I'm 55 years old," he said. "What are they going to do? Fire me? I'd rather be on the Colorado River anyway or up in the mountains. If they do, they do. I've got a three-year contract. They'll pay for it. I'm not worried about that, to be honest."

For a coach to publicly say he'd rather be doing something else is a disgrace.  Honestly, they should fire him just for that quote, not to mention an all but certain 3rd straight losing season.

I have personally heard from current and former players that he is a joke, he disrespects his players both in front of the team and in the media.  Current players have told me that he has completely lost the team.

Expect the Mules to roll in Westminster this Saturday, despite the Terror's historical 9-3 record vs. the Mules in Westminster.

Terrorizer24

History is on the side of the Terror this week.

McDaniel has won 11 of the last 12 meetings with the Mules dating back to 1995 when the two squads tied.  The only loss being a 43-0 blow out last year.

Expect a similar outcome this year....  Mules 56....Terror 3

Around the league...

Moravian over F&M
Gettysburg over Juniata
Hopkins over Ursinus

Thanks for the heads-up on the Carroll County Times piece. Added it to the What We're Reading box on the front page.

As a former teammate of Terrorizer and minion of Keating, I am in total agreement with him.
This is NOT the type of news that a Centennial team needs on the FRONT PAGE of D3football.com; moreso not the type of news that a head coach would want on the front page.  Mules will without a doubt hand it to the Terror in saturday's meeting, regardless of history.  I would love to see the Mules play this year, however my only D3 game, sadly, will be McDaniels homecoming contest in early November.  Good luck to all CC teams this week!

In regards to Keatings quote, i'd like to ask the fathers out there (obviously MuleDaddy) how you would react if you read similar quotes from your son's HEAD coach...or just any thoughts on the situation.

muledaddy

DT and Terrorizer,

I read the quotes from Coach Keating and they make me both sad and angry, as a parent of a D3

kid.I know the kids on that team care, and will fight their hardest, on Saturday .I only hope the

Mules are ready for a battle. TJ,  Zwilsky, Weinrich and all the others beat Dickinson, a very good team.

This is a big game for both teams. I thank God for the head coach at Muhlenberg, and his staff.GO MULES!

wesleydad

terrorizer and others, WOW, did he really say that?  that is a shame for the kids.  i am not sure what i would tell my son if he had to deal with that type of attitude, it is tough to just change colleges especially if you are a junior or senior.  like muledaddy, i am glad for the head coach at wesley and how he handles things, not always agree with the decisions but never question the intent which is to do what is best for the team in his mind.  good luck to the players and i hope that the college rectifies the situation.

Mates,
It's time, and its not easy, since this conference is one of the most improved and competitve

in all the Land, upsets being the rule, rather than the exception, some weeks, but not this one:
1. Mules break the Westminster curse, beating the Terror, thank God;
2 Hopkins destroys Ursinus, showing they really are a serious no. 2 contender;
3. Hounds   over Dips, a really good improving team with explosive potential;watch the kickers
4G,Burg keeps the caisssons rolling over Juniata
5.Leb  Val              over Widener, just because its a home game...
6.Whitewater, because warhawks deserve respect...........
note........the above picks represent a conservative deviation by Muledaddy, who is exhaausted from
staying up late cheering for PHILLIES........GO MULES!!!!
