Gents,

AFCA seems to believe IT IS MULETIME.No. 2 in the country, something we all should be proud of as members of the most improved and one of the best conferences in America.
There will be a war  in the land of the Army War College , the ghost of Jim Thorpe, and the Civil war trails.
While Confederate invaders posed the problem in 1863,and the Underground Railway passed through
Carlisle, NOTHING has come to town to rival this Saturday's greatest show on turf......the Mules.....
Forget about the budweiser Clydesdales, the county fairgrounds, and come one, come all...to THE BATTLE AT CARLISLE...The Mules will put on an exhibition...showing why the football coaches of America know who is No. 2....
and moving on up.......GO MULES !!!

I'm loving all the positive vibes for the Red Devils.  As nice as it is to see a CC team ranked so highly and in the national limelight, it would be even nicer to see a huge Dickinson upset.  Wearin' the RED, baby!

Dear Ochs,

You have a very good team. It will fight very  hard the entire game. The Mules have a very good team.
They will fight even  harder to win the conference, maintain an unblemished unbeaten record, continue its
winning streak beyond 18, and maintain its playoff position on the national stage. This is the ROAD TO
SALEM and I can't comprehend the Mules giving that up. You have a lot of good players.  Whose offensive line and defensive unit wins this battle?Who has better stats,   passing efficiency to rushing yardage to ppg, together with an unequalled desire to find a way to win;
the fiercest defense, the most efficient field general, the league's leading running back, and
senior leadership and chemistry? Will they lose for lack of effort or talent?I think not.GO MULES!!!

Muledaddy:

You are creating a stirr within the boards. I can see that because your karma is dropping like a hot pepper in the mouth of the un-prepared.

Just remember---On any given day anyone can win or lose.

Also watch your cap's. See articles of service which is specific about them.. People have been bounched. Would miss your banter, which is amusing.

muledaddy,
what would you say the spread for sat's game is? if i am reading you right i would imagine you think mules by 20+???

MuleDaddy,

I like your passion, and I will root for your Mules like they are my own team if they beat the Red Devils.  It would be nice to see a CC team go far into the play-offs.  However, I am not sure how realistic it is to think a CC team will ever make it to Salem (or even to the semis, for that matter).  That is not a knock on the quality of football in the CC, but more a testament to the academic and financial demands of most schools w/in the conference.

BTEXPRESS

Oak, I agree. The CC is a much improved conference top to botton, Heck Juniata might be the best 1 win team in the entire country, but like you, I will also root for the Mules to make a long run into the NCAA playoffs, just not on Saturday. In my opinion,a successful season for a CC school in the playoffs would be to make it to the second round every year. With the tuitions and academic requirements of the CC, you are not comparing "apples to apples" with many D III conferences.

hawkman

There is no better year than this for Muhlenberg to advance far into the playoffs.  South Division Powerhouses of old Wesley, UMHB, and Salisbury, are all a little weaker than usual.  Wesley lost a lot from last years team that took down Muhlenberg.  UMHB has struggled significantly with injuries and losing to a NAIA makes all of D3 look a little weaker.  Salisbury also lost a significant amount from last years team which was upset by a higher ranked Muhlenberg team in the playoffs. As far as fans of other Centennial Conference teams wanting them to do well, I'd rethink that.  If Muhlenberg ends another year in the top ten like last year they will most likely get another stacked recruiting class because of their national recognition.

muledaddy

Heavy, hawk, and ocks,

i do not think Saturday is a 20 point game, one way or the other. last year, where the devils jumped out 17-0, only to give it back and lose 29-24 at Allentown, gives us a clue about this years game.It could be a pick'em, but the coputer simulations that i run say mules win most times against this year's devils. dube is gone, but so is johnson.2 all conference linebackers have graduated from the mules , but a great
new kicker has appared on the scene. Your qb to wr duo is about as good as it gets, on a good day.Our rb and our qb are your biggest challenges. We are going to win, and going to go 2 or more layers deep into the playoffs, because it is our time....just like it was the phillies time...for a championship....by 1 run or 1 point.

Mule-- that was a very good answer-- 1 run or 1 point...how true.

hawk-- your also right about the south, but Muhlenberg may be pushed to the east.

That is up to the NCAA
