When does the ECAC bids come out? I would assume that Moravian and Hopkins will get a bid if they both applied.

SU Backer

I don't have a dog in this fight, but since ski threw us in this mix (ask Salisbury)....Wesley is the real deal, make no mistake, unless they were to beat themselves somehow, I think they will roll into the South finals. Salisbury is very good; (17 point win over CNU, whipped Geneva by 42, a team that handled TMC handily I think, beat St John Fisher on the road etc., our 2 losses were to MAC co-champ Del Val @ their house when they were pretty hot and a 2 score loss to Wesley) and I can tell you we just physically got beat by a better team against Wesley. They are good.....you don't know how that pains me to say :(

I would like to say Congratulations to Moravian College for a very hard fought win on saturday, i had said last week that you could throw away the records books, stats, past games....this was a real war and i can see that this Hounds Team is going to be a force next year.
About Wesley this Saturday, another war in the making, and i know a lot has been said about them and thats all well and good, but please don't think that this Mule Team is just going to role over and play dead and i know Wesley won't either.
So Wesley fans welcome to Allentown and good luck to both teams !

GO MULES !!!

SaintsFAN

SU,

I'm not bringing TMC into this.  But since you brought it up... no, it wasn't handily... 17-13.  No excuses... the kids learned an important lesson about having to show up to every game.  They were coming off the weekend... beating W&J for the PAC title.

The funny thing is... I didn't expect this kind of reaction from teamski, maybe from some of the other homers on here...

I said that I definitely feel like they can make the South Finals, but the key is... that they've put their bad days (not my words) behind them.

Good luck,

also, I can tell you that I was picking Salisbury to be "in"... shame that they weren't.

You're good.  I've got my eye on Wesley..

I think any one of Wesley/MHB/Millsaps would be a great challenge for the west region in the final 4.

Mule since you changed your picks after I wrote them down I missed your change.

Sorry and it has been corrected.

Basicly Moravian had a super day and Muhlenberg had their bad day. The stats posted before show that they were off.

Team Stats
                                  Mu        Mo
First downs                24        15
Rushes-yards            51-193    52-183
Passes comp-att-int  16-29-3   7-13-1
Passing yards           191       94
Total yards               384       277
Punts-Avg                2-28.5    4-31.0
Penalties-Yards          12-88     5-45
Fumbles-Lost              2-1       2-1
Time of possession      33:46     26:14
Sacks by-Yards            2-16      4-23

Well, I'm not going to be the one to roll in and say that Wesley is going to absolutely crush Muhlenberg.  I know the Mules are savoring the opportunity to avenge last year's playoff loss.  Wesley needs to take the Mules seriously.  One of the saving graces this season is the fact that Wesley has been on the road for all but three games this season.  So, I wouldn't expect the home field advantage to be that significant.

One can compare stats and other things, but it comes down to game day.
Who wants it more than the other guy? Who is better prepared. The biggest thing might be the weather, which we will have to watch throughout the week.
Forecasst now is mid 30"s

Old Ends, you are on top of this. If you need Stats, Ends is the man: Here goes with my picks. If I wait until the end of the week, I will probably change my mind several times after reading all the expected banter;

MILLSAPS over LaGrange ( Millsaps has a former Bama HC and LaGrange is a new program)
W & J over CNU ( both experienced playoff teams, I think the Presidents have the better offense)
MUHLENBERG over Wesley( On paper it should go the other way,but I think the Mules learned from their first loss last week and are looking for revenge from last year)
MHB over HS ( picked this game with a coin toss)

ECAC
SALISBURY over Moravian ( Think the Hounds will be emotionally spent after beating the Mules)
HOPKINS over Catholic ( This should be a close and exciting game)

BTEXPRESS

You know after looking at all the ECAC games including Kean at Delaware Valley and Albright at Monclair State these games make for some interesting match ups. They let the fans see how the various conferences compare on the field since, in most cases, the conferences don't schedule each other in the regular season. I know last year the Centennial Conference did very well in their ECAC games.
