WW- you still haven't answered my question about which Sportcenter anchor sucks the most.  :)

As well as you played that Sweet 16 game, I do remember the "what the hell?" that came following that shot. One of your few mistakes over that period.

Kaus is a little different than Hans, although you made some good points. Kaus can score much more, yet has an even greater disadvantage on defense, because he's not as athletic or strong as Hans was. Doble cannot play defense very well, although I do admit that it is much better than when he came to GAC. When I have played against him, he could score at will, in a lot of different ways. Keep in mind, almost anyone can score against me, but I thought Doble's offensive game has not completely shown through so far this season.

But like I said earlier, any night, GAC can have another player step up and have a dominating night.

Reporter: Charles, is there anything about the incident you regret?

Sir Charles: Yeah, that we weren't on a higher floor.

On Wednesday I talked to Hanson after the game a little bit about Doble actually...He was hurt at the beginning of the year, and it really allowed Paulson to mature quickly.

Doble is a great athlete, but he fouls way to much. He doesn't get his body into position and tries to rely on his athletic ability.

At the beginning of the year I said something like..."Whittwer and Doble will be a nice dynamic duo"...I now change that to Whittwer and Paulson.

* The Redwood B-Ball days also go back to when Jiminez was the coach...his kid ended up playing for Bobby Knight at Indiana I believe.

Bethel won at Carleton in Overtime...SJU won at Carleton in Overtime...Doesn't logic suggest that we will have a good game on our hands in Collegeville tomorrow...I only wish I could be there  :(

It is good to be a Royal!

BS - I told Hanson I was feeling it afterwards. I hadn't been that hot since my Nick Carr-like performance in 7th grade when I dropped 34 on some fools.

I'm not sure which Sportscenter guy I hate the most...but Stu Scott is definitely in my Top 3.

Anyone else seen Holy Angels play yet this year? They've got two players who are tough, but also in the same neighborhood as Brady Soule. #24 hipchecked a Winger almost into the stands for an intentional foul last night (with the ball 20 feet away) and #23 refused a hand to get helped up from the floor, drawing a LOUD chorus of boos. They could both soon be playing in the MIAC, as Kalland and Whitmore were both in the house recruiting.
I don't hate Duke. I just hate all their players, coaches and fans.

PTPer35

I'm a big Kenny Mayne fan. I really don't like Steven A. Smith or Skip Bayless. I know they aren't traditional anchors but watching them argue while Dana Jacobson just sits there is terrible TV. If I had to pick an anchor I'd probably choose Linda Cohn...just something about her.

i miss the tag team partners oberman and patrick :'(

Hutch plays them Monday. No. 24 Willy Baregi plays like a linebacker on the court. No. 23 Stoddard Barnhill (would definitely make Drake's all-name team) is probably the best player in the Missota this season. I do remember him having a bit of an attitude. I like that in a player - some grit!

just a minor correction - the name of the stud player currently playing for redwood valley is mike felt, not dan.  and i doubt he will be a d3 player - he's going higher than the miac.

St. Thomas cracked back into the top 5.

GAC is no longer receiving votes, but Carleton receives two in their stead!

Is the MIAC a 2-3 tourney team conference this year?

Say Carleton beats GAC in the championship game, and UST wins out the rest of the regular season.  that would make UST 22-3 (18-2), GAC will probably have 18-20 wins at that point, and Carleton would be the conf. tourney champion.

A lot depends upon the regional rankings & new "strength of schedule"-like ratings that are due to come out in about  7-10 days.  From my understanding, D3 has a new rating system similar to the
D-1 RPI. The NCAA selection committee will look at the RPI, along with other criteria & make their decisions.  Based on your scenario, my guess is that at best, the MIAC will have 2 teams in the tourney.

Pat C. or our favorite HOFer - Greg Sager should be stopping by anyday now to drop a few morsels of wisdom, or manna from the D3 Gods.   ;)

In the meantime - here's a litttle background reading.  keep in mind some of the criteria is changing, or has recently changed, & will be frequently discussed on the front pages of the website over the next month.  February is one of my favorite months during the basketball season.

H. DH- good point about Moberg. In the second half, it just didn't seem like he was in the game.

Also, me and my friends got there early, sat unknowingly in the fringes of the BU crowd (like I knew where I was sitting), and apparently, some of the fans told one of my compatriots that we shouldn't have been sitting in "their" section. These were the same BU fans who arrived during half time. I hope this isn't consistent of most BU fans  ;)

nope, the rude ones like that usually dont show up till 8 minutes left in the game

Why not?  I'm sure there are at least a couple of father-like figures on the board.  ;)

WW,

I saw Holy Angels play here a few weeks ago. Nfld had a chance to beat them, but Barnhill stole the ball from a sophomore PG with 30 secs left. Barnhill is a player, tenacious defender and finds his way to the basket no matter what traffic is in the lane.

Holy Angels is a very physical and quick team. I don't know if you'd remember Kennedy's QB (Moses Alipate I believe), but he was a freshman starter at HA in the post before transferring. He was a stud too.

I used to hate Neil Everett, but after a few of his commercials, he changed my mind. Skip Bayless sucks. He never makes any sense and makes a living hating everything, kind of like every person on KFAN.

Also, I was trying to find clips of Dana Jacobson's rant at the Friar's Club roast. She got liquored up and and some interesting things, resulting in a suspension from ESPN. If anyone has anything, I think it would be quite humorous.
