I did indeed say "Bring It On" not insinuating a was trying to start a fight, but because I knew my post would bring a heated discussion in which it most certainly did.

I failed to mention Russian Mig AK47 because though he trashed on Archer a bit I very much respected his opinions.

A.O. Though you are going to try to group me as a fair weather Tommie's fan (I can't deny the fact that the St. Thomas fan base is a bit disappointing) But I did in fact make the trek to Bethel this year, and was one of a very small Tommie student section.  I was their for both the JV and Varsity games, and watched two impressive Tommie victories.  I am not trashing on Bethel in the least.  I really enjoy watching them play, and the combo of Madson, and Moberg will be very exciting next year.  I had the pleasure of watching Moberg all through high school, and will expect big things from the Bethel next year.  Also I would like to say that Bethel's student section is amazing and I loved the white out.

Drake Palmer  About your stupid comment that I should watch out, because some Gusties might beat me up or whatever you are insinuating is ridiculous.  Are you in 10th grade? I did not say bring it on in the direction of any GAC fans challenging them, I was interested in opening a discussion.

Abominable_Snowman  I disagree with you on your point that GAC has an equal or greater legacy than St. Thomas.  This is nothing against GAC I agree that their legacy is great, and have had a little better success in the post season lately than UST.  UST has 23 conference titles, to GAC's 16.  Thomas also has won 6 of the last 9.  Those numbers are very hard to argue with. One season is not enough to cement a legacy.  I am not taking anything away from the legacy of GAC, and enjoy watching them play.  I am a big fan of Jesse Van Sickle, and believe the Gusties should be pretty good again next year.

PTPer35  You have made no good point yet.  You must just sit on this site all day and look for people to fight with.  I will gladly argue things with you but first you need so say something of importance.  Go ahead and call me a tool all you would like, because I am doing nothing more than showing confidence in the program at UST.  Go ahead and battle me on something, but if you just want to sit around and complain like it really seems I am not going to listen.

Finally I apologize for using morons in my post.  If you are honestly offended by that you shouldn't be on here, and need to grow up.

Bring It On (Meaning a nice heated discussion for anyone confused by this)

Man, I really feel slighted not being on your hit list.  Let's see, you're just playing Devil's Advocate and you apologize for calling people morons and then turn around and call the Honorable Mr Palmer stupid.  Jeeze you might be the first person on the board to hit -1000 in karma before you make your 10th post.

USTDynasty - dude, just relax.  Archer's a good player but you gotta admit he takes dives - they work, usually, which helps UST win - but it is not classy.

p.s. you are not welcome to any hamm's

p.s.s. still cheer loud

1) In your resentment  list you forgot to include Russian Ak47.  I might also add both Ak47 & Snow are respected, recent former UST basketball players. And other posters have some type of connection to UST.

Mafia - How them tripple burgers and roller skates treatin' ya?  p.s. I don't think you nude creates any additional awkwardness for anyone.

the tripple burgers have been extra juicy as of late...roller skating has been equally as stellar

you are right...the awkwardness just wasnt there...it was all so natural

ps...good to have you back around here again...i was begining to think you were assassinated or something due to the weaponry you sell on the mean streets

Drake - He did not forget to include me, that was intentional and done out of self preservation.  Nobody in their right mind would call out someone with a name like Russian Mig AK47.  Haven't you seen Eastern Promises!?

Umm, sorry Mig. You mean this guy?

Based on the roles Viggo Mortenson has played in various movies, I've always thought he was a taller, sinister looking man.  But I saw him one night on Letterman & discovered he's a smallish, sinister looking man.  It's funny what camera angles can do.  Viggo appeared to be the size of a larger horse jockey 5-6 or 5-7, about 130- 140lbs. :o ;D

mig - the hamm's will be located under the basket on the tommie side.  however, by game time, the trusty hamm's may have to give way to the freshmen year flask...

if this games outcome was based on team posters, we would be in big trouble

Good find TP.   BV has the team poster & Loras has got a nice little 1-minute You-tube clip. But UST has nothing to hang their heads about.  You all have the 40-Minute Run

USTDynasty isn't worth my virtual ink.

Enemies from birth join forces.  ;) I won't waste my time, breath or ink either on someone who doesn't understand subtlety & nuance.

just for the record the dirtiest player i have ever played against is a priest...nicest guy i ever met off the court...would be happy if i never played against him again on the court

i think archer was slightly dirty when i saw him play last but he had been sweating for a full game...after he emerged from the locker room he looked very clean...i assume he took a shower

I was just reminding you that despite our GREAT history, that NATIONAL title histroy has been elusive.

And I'm glad to hear you enjoy watching GAC play, they are a wonderfully disciplined program.

And in the Bring It On sense of things.  Being hypocritical will greatly take away any legitimacy in your posts. (In other words, don't apolgiize, then ridicule in the same line)

Figure out how its going to be.  If you want to try to make valid points, then try to respect some of the other posters on the board.  But if you want to continue to bring it on, enjoy your name calling and habberdashery.

I hear you.  He's smiled at me, said "hello" several times in the past & I wasn't sure if he was warmly greeting me, or telling me to get out of his space.  I just put my head down, mumbled something & scurried away. :o ;D

Abominable_Snowman  I can't definitely agree with you.  The the national title, and even championship game has eluded one of the great D3 programs.  I will not take one thing away from GAC as they have made it further than any St. Thomas team ever did.  I enjoy watching this years Tommies, and have the highest hopes for their future.  They live and die by the 3 ball way too much.  I really like some of the play coming from the low post, but are in need of a force in the middle like Conboy or Moberg if they ever want to take a run at the title.

I also agree that GAC has a great history, and do things the right way.  They always seem to get good recruits though they might be less known to the people of the suburbs.  The size of the JV team should mean real good things for the near future, and Jesse Van Sickle is a stud.

knowing nothing other than the stats - it looks like if you stop the pg, wagner, you stop buena vista.  BIG night for nicolai - I think its possible we'll see lonnie on him if nicolai struggles early.

...enjoy your name calling and habberdashery.

Yeti - WOW, amazing word choice!  Had you somehow played habberdashery against me in scrabble... perhaps you would have enjoyed more personally favorable outcomes  ;)  BTW I am sure it hasn't escaped you, but scrabulous is available to play on Facebook now.  I will start up a game with you so you have something other than "work" to do during the day.  But mark my words, I didn't get to be 25-4 on accident... bring your A-game.

Mafia - slangin' weapons is a most dangerous trade... but they haven't gotten to me yet.  Just to be safe, I do sleep with one eye open.  Also, the Gophers are on their way up... I found a bit odd that the ESPN "experts" still have OSU on the bubble and there is no mention of the Golden Gophers - despite their better record, and the ease with which they dispatched the Buckeyes last weekend.  I guess it could be the cream puff schedule they played to start the season?

Drake - Yes, it is a bit off-putting to find out how small these actors/athletes are in real life.  I think I still assume when I see people on tv that they are larger than me.  Which for the most part is not the case.  I can still remember how devestated I was (shortly after Top Gun) when I found out that Tom Cruise was a minature person.  Of course that was before he became clinically insane, but that is another can of worms.  I was equally disturbed when I taunted Tiger Woods on the 8th green at the Bay Hill Classic back in 2003... turns out he is only like 5'11?!

Anywho, the point of my allusion to Eastern Promises was not to correlate myself with Tiny Viggo, but rather to point out the aura of lethalness associated with the Russian mafia.  Matter of fact, given the inordinate amount of airtime his man parts got, I think I should go out of my way to distance myself from Viggo!  There is nothing fierce about man parts flying everywhere... well not much fierce  :o

What poster is drinking the purple juice - win it all.  ???

Sorry I missed the MIAC Championship - that cold turned into the flu, and let's just put it this way, it's winning the good fight over me right now. Hopefully by Wednesday (start of high school hockey), I'll be rearing to go and will make it up Friday night for the semis.

If so, anybody up for a post-game bru-haw?
